3 dead in Winnemucca bar shooting
WINNEMUCCA — Three men were fatally shot and two other people were injured early today at a bar in the northern Nevada town of Winnemucca, police said, and the shootings may have stemmed from a longstanding feud between several local families.

Winnemucca police Chief Bob Davidson said a man entered Player's Bar and Grill and fatally shot two members of a rival family before he was shot and killed by a patron. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
note that the shooter was shot by a patron who was packing as well...am wondering why the bartender didn't start shooting?

Gunfight at the Player's Bar & Grill Corral?

Big bar, 300 patrons. Got an uncle that is a sheriff deputy in the next county over. He tells some storeys.
Yes, you live in the wild west.

Who in his right mind walks into a bar filled with drunken cowboys and starts shooting? Those guys must have been Mensa scholars. :lmao:

when I lived in WVA, I always noticed that a few people died on the opening day of deer season
due to "'hunting accidents". I always thought it was actually the hatfields and the mccoys all over
again.

Good thing you no longer tend bar there and moved to the place across the dirt road.

As sad as it is for the families, this does prove that having one person there that had a CCW permit stopped what might have been a far worse event depending on the circumstances.

Boy, don't you know those orange vests are for them citified pussies? This brown one is fine and what we local folks wear. :-)
