(snip)
They said it was weather related.
The DNC just moved their final night from the 75,000 seat Bank of America Panther Stadium to the 15,000 seat basketball arena.
A FOX News analyst just said it was because they could not fill the stadium.
“They were scrambling to fill a large majority of the stadium.â€

The comments are priceless..........(http://www.conservativecave.com/Smileys/default/lmao.gif)

"Weather related", huh? :whatever:
How is it that the Dhimmi'Rat's messiah cannot control the weather? :loser: MY Messiah had no problem calming storms... :fuelfire:

Damn Cheney and his weather machine!!!
-
Spin from MSM: just heard noon news on the radio about the "disappointed thousands" O-) who will not be able to hear the speech. Typical "man/woman-on-the-street" soundbites about it being the "right decision" but "disappointing" nonetheless.
Poor babies! :bawl:

You can't fill that!

I was shelling butterbeans while the TV played in the background. Charlotte TV station broke in on regular programing to make the announcement that due to bad weather the democrats were canceling the event at the stadium....and right behind that came the weather forecast for today and the long range forecast for tomorrow and the rest of the week....storms and bad weather are forecast to be out of our area by early tomorrow... :lmao:
The community organizers should coordinate with local TV stations better.... :lmao:

Apparently, the Holy WON of Chicago(Piss Be Upon Him) can only calm the storms in Chicago (http://washingtonexaminer.com/rahm-emanuel-in-june-when-president-obama-arrives-the-rain-stops/article/2507012#.UEeITpby-vA). :rotf:

I once prayed for rain while visiting Sgt Snuggle. It stormed for a month. I'd like to take the blame for this one, but that would be lying.

Were there no local high school gyms available?

NBCNews.com (Formally MSNBC.com) announced it. So it is officially official.
[snip]
Obama had planned to accept his party's nomination at Bank of America Stadium before a crowd of up to 74,000 people.
But Obama officials said forecasters have predicted severe thunderstorms in the 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. hour, raising concerns about the safety of supporters, volunteers, staff members and law enforcement.
“It was really a public safety issue. We wanted to make sure that people are safe," said DNCC CEO Steve Kerrigan. “It’s somewhat upsetting for so many folks.”

FIFY.
From foam columns in Denver to empty chairs in Charlotte. Oh, sweet irony.

From the comments:
This certainly saves them having to cover the big “Bank of America†sign

Look how empty that place is.
-
Watching the weather channel the anchor reporting on the storm actually said with a straight face that the 65,000 people with tickets would be disappointed.
-
I know this has nothing to do with the weather, but... Going through Charlotte near the BoA stadium on Monday there were signs along I-85 warning motorists that no parking was allowed, that I-85 was a tow-away zone. I was thinking "what kind of idiots would expect cars to just park on the shoulder of an interstate highway and what kind of idiot would do it?"
-

Actually, the local high school gyms might be larger. This being North Carolina, people will show up for a good basketball team.

An Obamadiot?

An Obamadiot?
An Obamaidiot would think that the highways would be flooded with cars pulling over and the unwashed genuflecting towards the stadium.

WBT Radio says it's raining in Charlotte right now 3:45 pm Thursday. The 2 liberal white guys they have in the 3 to 6 pm slot now have tinkled down their legs...THE ONE has been saved.
Kay Hagan from NC says it wasn't Obama that cancelled the stadium thingy but the secret service.....and she said they had enough buses rented to bring people to the stadium to fill it. Sure you did honey, it would take a thousand buses ready to roll at a moments notice to bring in 50,000+ democrats for a speech.....but Ray Nagan couldn't use 300 school buses to get democrats out of New Orleans.
And just for laughs. This past Tuesday afternoon, I was in one room and son was in another room supposedly doing his homework. He comes running into my room laughing his head off at the democrats. One of the local TV stations were interviewing people on the street asking what their thoughts were on the convention. He said they were interviewing some black woman and she said, "We don't need that trash up in our town"...... :lmao:
The 2 lib radio guys have been talking to business owners close to the convention and the owners are unhappy with how much money they have lost this week.

I thought that it was hilarious that "they" (obama's media supporter) run with the lie that it was because of weather.
And does anyone remember what a fiasco his DNC "coronation" was last time? Why would they want to repeat those over the top theatrics?
It is almsot if they don't care what the American people think. Go figure.
