which is the average of all available polling.

If you were watching, July and August were terrible months for Romney... so what explains this ???

University of Colorado Model Predicts Romney Win

CNN PRODUCER NOTE

"A University of Colorado analysis of state-by-state factors leading to the Electoral College selection of every U.S. president since 1980 forecasts that the 2012 winner will be Mitt Romney."

Bwahahahah! BTW why hasn't this been mentioned at DU it the past 11 days since it's been out?

1. For one thing, it has nothing to do with electoral votes

3. Yeah... Well That Didn't Work Out So Well In 2000... But Intrade Make Me Feel Better...

Intrade:

Barack Obama to be re-elected President in 2012...57.8%...$6.3M

Mitt Romney to be elected President in 2012...........41.5%...$6.6M

7. It's close because...

1) although Obama has done a great deal to prevent the recession he inherited to turn into Great Depression 2.0 and lead us to some kind of a recovery, we aren't all the way back yet, so there are a lot of desperate people struggling who think it's time to try something new (even if, in fact, it's something old -- and precisely what got us into this mess in the forst place) and

2) there are a lot of people who are preconditioned to believe in the sort of mythical America peddled by the Republicans, and will vote for that myth unless circumstances (say, the stock market losing 50% of its value in the course of a couple of weeks) panic them enough to do what they would never normally do -- vote for one of those Democratic liberals who, they are told, don't espouse the values of said mythical America, and

3) (corollary to the above) there are a lot of low-information voters, and

4) there's a huge right-wing media dominance which pre-packages Republican talking points in a way that gets through to said low-information voters, and

5) finally, there are a lot of people who remained pissed as hell that there's "one of that kind" in the White House.

8. The electoral map at HuffPo doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

I wasn't going to post it, but then saw your thread and it seems to fit in here.

Just below HP's Electoral Outlook map, on the lower right side, is a small graphic detailing the latest movements in state status. The most recent changes listed show states moving toward Romney.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/2012/romney-vs-obama-electoral-map?hw

Not pleasant info, but there it is.

Their angst sustains me.

A few of those filled with helium and floated over the stadium would lend a nice, festive air to Obama's acceptance speech this week.

Oh, that would be perfect! It would be the Flight of the OccuPenises!

Think the Secret Service snipers would shoot them down?

Just to you idiots that do nothing but listen only to what you want to hear.
All that crap the left spewed was measured by regular people and discounted as the garbage it is.

DUmmies have (or manufacture) a lot of drama in their lives.  One can see such posts as the one in this DUmmie's OP "...Talk me off the ledge", or "Talk me down" quite frequentlly.

I cannot think of anything that would put me 'on the ledge' so to speak, but that's just me.

And they banned me (twice) so what do I know of drama.

Hey Willie boy, if you're lurking here--

Why were July and August "bad months" for Romney?

Curious minds want to know, as the more-accurate perception seems to be that July and August were good months for Romney.

Where are you getting your news, Willie boy?

No president has won reelection with the economy in the shitter even remotely as bad as this one but when Obama loses this November it will be because we are a racist country.  :whatever:

A look into the insanity of a DUche.

Premise: A stock market loses 50% and that hurts the challenger? It makes people that would never vote for a democrat party member vote for them? 1+1=POTATO

Premise: The MSM is hard right.

Is this the one with the boat?  I thought he was dead.
That was Wiley something. He handbuilt this huge barge on a farm in Tennessee.

Then he started begging for money to help fulfill his dream to sail it from rural Tennessee to the Pacific Coast.

There he'd live the life of a deadbeat on his docked barge, smoking blunts and sipping Cristal

He heard some problematic rumors about a continental device or divide, or something like that.

But you can't let something that obscure stand in the way of a dream.

Anyway, we don't worry about no continental devices here in red state hell, we just wanted that nutty deadbeat to get on the water and leave.

Then he simplified things greatly by simply falling over dead.

To the best of my knowledge, on the day crazy Wiley keeled over, franksolich was far away on the eastern edge of the Sandhills.

(Contrary to many rumors at the time.)
