Title: The Nationwide race in Atlanta ended with contraversy
Post by: EagleKeeper on September 01, 2012, 09:55:53 PM
First off, I'm not a Harvick fan, I root for the 18 car in Cup.

Harvick was wearing out the field. Then the yellow came out With 6 laps to go, or so and the yellow came out.

Espn's in car camera recorded Brad Kesolowski taking a water bottle and tossing it out of the car.

ESPN recorded the track cleanup crew picking up the water bottle.

Nascar stated that the reason for the caution was not the water bottle which means that Nascar knew that the 22 tossed junk on the track but it also meant that the 22 was not going to be penalized.

It's been probably 10 years since I've witnessed such flagrent cheating and to top it off, after the race, Brad was like "What, what...I need to see the recording."

I've sent an email to ESPN to urging them to keep after this story for the sake of Nascar and also to Penske racing.

I know I am tilting at windmills but this was just too obvious for even Nascar to ignore.

Drivers intentionally causing cautions happens all the time. It is nothing new in NASCAR.

Crew chief to Dale SR., "Man. We sure could use a caution."

Dale SR. to crew chief, "Working on it."

...and few seconds later, he put someone in the wall.
