Title: How soon they forget
Post by: Skul on August 31, 2012, 12:32:16 PM
Remember a little while back when the Maobama DOJ or somebody, filled suit on Ohio over early voting?
As I recall, the DUmp pant-hooted that it was a good thing, because it allowed military members a little more time to vote.
This of course was a bad thing.
Now, we see something else pop up.

Federal Judge Restores Early Voting In Ohio After Obama SuitSource: TPM

A federal judge in Ohio restored early voting rights in the three days before the election on Friday, ruling in favor of the Obama campaign. Huh??

U.S. District judge Peter C. Economus ruled that "restoring in-person early voting to all Ohio voters through the Monday before Election Day does not deprive UOCAVA voters from early voting."

"Instead, and more importantly, it places all Ohio voters on equal standing," Economus ruled. He said the state "fails to articulate a precise, compelling interest in establishing the 6 p.m. Friday deadline as applied to non-UOCAVA voters and has failed to evidence any commitment to the 'exception' it rhetorically extended to UOCAVA voters."

Trying to figure this out.
Maobama admin sues Ohio, and the DUmp thought it grand.
Now, that suit is rejected, and the DUmp thinks it's grand.
I'm confused.  :???:

I'm confused too.  It gives the military a little more time to get their votes in?  Is that primarily the gist of it?

I heard on the 1:00 radio news (CBS?), this little snippet, and something to the effect that this favors Obama.  That was said without further comment.

They're running around like loons over there.  What makes them think this means votes for Obama?  Maybe it means early votes for RMoney, because, hey, they just can't wait.

I believe the effect of it is to extend an exception granted to the military to all the voters in Ohio, for no particular reason, which is what favors the Obama voters.  It seems stupid, since rather than dealing a few isolated military voters showing up before election day, Ohio now has to extend their voting for most of a work week ending on the Constitution's designated Election Day.

The source is Talking Points Memo.  Hence the confusion by those of us that followed the actual case.

This wasn't a win for Obama...his DoJ filed the suit to prevent Ohio from letting the military have more time to vote.

But since TPM is farther to the left than Kos and DU combined...they spun the story and purposely lied to make it look like it was Obama that was defending the voting rights of the soldiers.

They know what;s coming in November and because of that...they will spin any lie they have to in order to make Obama look better than he really is right now.

So, they somehow think that "early voting" = "victory". The only way I would equate the two is if I planned to USE early voting to MANUFACTURE victory.

Primitives need to learn how to hide behind a 'poker face'.
