I caught most of Rubio's speech and while sound bites like these were good, spot-on and accurate, my impression was of him he was uncharacteristically nervous.

Delivery wasn't as sharp as it normally is. Tempo and rhythm were a little off -- sometimes the high points sounded a little forced.

These are tiny, tiny points and while I see Rubio as being a outstanding conservative who will go a long way in the party, maybe he was just a little off his feed last night.

Yeah he seemed a bit nervous. However, he was about to introduce the next President of the United States of America. He can be forgiven.

Dude--he's 41 years old.  That's a baby in DC politics.

Perhaps he was unnerved by the fact that NBC purposely stayed in a commercial break during the first three minutes of his speech...blocking anyone from hearing him call for “prayers that soon freedom and liberty” will arrive in Cuba.

mebbe so -- but then again, Barry "wowed" the shit out of the Dems and half of the ****ing electorate with his "speech" at the 2004 DNC convention when he was all of 43.

I wasn't impressed, but a whole lotta folks were.  :whatever:
