Shushannah Walshe reports that the guy who wrote Sarah Palin's 2008 convention speech is also huddling with Paul Ryan for his.

GOP Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan has started working on his highly anticipated convention speech.

According to a Ryan aide, when the House Budget chairman was traveling from Des Moines, Iowa yesterday to Denver he began discussing his convention speech with speechwriter John McConnell and senior advisers, including Dan Senor.

.... Also working on speechwriting is Matthew Scully, who is traveling with Ryan this week as well, according to a Romney aide. Scully also worked in the Bush administration, but famously wrote Sarah Palin’s convention speech.
