Earthquake alert issued by California emergency management.
The following is a news release from the California Emergency Management Agency:
The California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) advises that, for the next 24 hours, continued seismic activity may occur in the areas affected by the "swarm" of earthquakes that shook the City of Brawley in Imperial County, measuring as high as 5.5 magnitude Sunday.
Scientists from California Geological Survey, U.S. Geological Survey, Cal Tech and the Southern California Earthquake Center believe the activity could involve an earthquake as large as, or larger than, Sunday's earthquake, and could cause damage to older structures. Additionally, residents of Imperial, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego Counties may feel additional earthquakes.
Seismic swarms of this nature can continue, although diminish in magnitude and frequency, over the next several weeks.
"Cal EMA has been, and will continue to be, in close coordination with local authorities to provide assistance and provide timely information regarding the potential ongoing impacts of this event" said Cal EMA Secretary Mark Ghilarducci. "Today's event serves as a reminder to all Californians that an earthquake can strike at any time. Take time now to prepare your family with emergency supplies and a practiced family emergency plan".
Cal EMA also reminds residents to take the following actions during an earthquake:
If indoors, stay there. Practice "Drop, Cover, Hold On" by getting under a table or in a corner
If outdoors, get into an open area away from trees, building, walls and power lines.
If driving, pull over to the side of the road and stop. Avoid stopping under overpasses and power lines. Stay inside the car until the shaking is over.
If in a high-rise building, stay away from windows and outside walls. Practice "Drop, Cover, Hold On". Get under a table or desk. Do not use elevators.
If in a crowded public place, do not rush for the doors. Move away from the shelves containing objects that could fall.
For more information about what to do before, during and after an earthquake, contact your local office of emergency services or visit:

3. The irony was that I finished cycling my water a day before this (We still have over two gallons in the truck)
So guess what I got today? More water.
We cycle them every three months or so... when I make coffee with bottled water instead of using it out of the tap.

4. Afternoon kick
mind you, the chances have dropped off already exponentially.
That's the whole campfire.
I don't think the primitives are especially interested in Vlada's alerts.

I wish she'd start doing east coast reports because it was raining and lightning today, and I didn't know whether to stay out in the rain and lightning or go inside the house.

That's the malarial primitive's territory.

Nads could go out to the local turkey farm and warn the turkeys not to look up during rainstorms. Who knows how many lives she'd save!

I guess he/she/it is falling down on the job. The only thing that saved me was that I went inside to check for advice on what to do and then the lights went off so I couldn't find my way back out into the rain and lightning.

When I want to know about impending earthquakes, I prefer to check with Chinese zoo animals.

nads isn't Chinese?

Has Nads reported on Issac yet?
Forget the earthquakes, Nads, the Gulf coast needs ya.

I was stumped at the water is in the truck and they had to cycle some more???? WTF????
Or is she on her cycle?
But they use bottled water for coffee.
What in the name of Jesus does that have to do with an earthquake?

If she is, it's a unicycle.

Yeah, and what about the shelf-stable milk?

If you knew Vlada Mitty like I know Vlada Mitty, you'd understand.

Yeah, and what about the shelf-stable milk?
The addled DUmmy grasswipe Judy carries bags of ice on her shelf.

This is stupid beyond belief. Those quakes were 100+ miles from SD and the worse was 5.5. Nothing but a few trailers getting moved off of foundations and other minor incidents were reported. Makes me wonder what she would do when a real quake ever hits SD.

Isn't it hateful, and offensive that no one will respond to nadin's threads ? All those non repliers should be alerted on, juries convened, and unanimous pizzas delivered.

She was just worried the East Cost was getting more attention then the West....
I'll be right back, I have water to cycle.....

"Don't come a knock'n if the house be a rock'n"...and I'm telling her, "I rocked your world. I made the earth shake just for you honey".

If you knew Vlada Mitty like I know Vlada Mitty, you'd understand.
In some respects, I'm glad I don't.
My aunt lives in Chula Vista. She's got a few new cracks in her house. No alerts. We had to call her to find out.

Let's see now, as of right now there's been 880 quakes in the last week in CA & NV.

has become statistically hard to do.
But for the sake of 24 hours...
Business hours??? :???:

Yes, but how many have been validated by the reporting of nadin ?

Chinese scientists claim a reliable predictor of earthquakes is whenever crazy bald dwarfs get agitated.
