If Akin should go then so should Holmes (lets tie them together).

Background from Rachel's show. You need only watch the first minute or so to see what I am talking about but the whole thing is worth watching.

This man said that "Concern for rape victims is a red herring because conceptions from rape occur with approximately the same frequency as snowfall in Miami".

He also has a lifetime appointment as a Federal Judge.

If Akin is unacceptable, even to Republicans, for an elected position that lasts only 6 years then how can Holmes be acceptable in a lifetime position?

Isn't there political advantage here to making them explain their hypocrisy? It also brings to light that Akin was not an isolated case. These people actually believe these things.

^snip^

James Leon Holmes (born 1951) is a United States federal judge. He currently serves as Chief Judge of the Eastern District of Arkansas.

Looks like we are now going to have to deal with this every time any republican makes a gaffe

Why would they need one? They are for abortion for any reason.

Before or shortly after birth is no significant difference to them.  :thatsright:

The fact that they got the information from Rachel 'Butch' Madcow shows that they are stupid. All MSNBC does is lie and spread bs. They don't fact check anything they say.

I know.  But hey if they're gonna make the fact there is no "rape exception" in the RNC platform a big thing...I think we should ask them why it matters so much when they haven't put one in their plank on abortion either.

On second thought...perhaps instead of a rape exception we should ask them why there is no "partial birth" exception in their plank on abortion.

The DNC has been really pushing the rape exception lately. But the rape exception is a cover up for them. The agree with abortions no matter what.

I was watching the news last night and they had some lady on who was a democratic strategist, and she was going on and on about the RNC's platform; and how they don't have a rape exception. When the moderator told her that Romney agrees with rape as long as it is a case of Rape, Incest, and the mothers life is in danger, she said that she doesn't care. He is running as a republican and the RNC does not have the exception. It appeared to me that she was complaining that Romney wasn't running as a liberal - Or is expecting Romney to change the platform and make legal for any case. With only about 20% of the country agreeing with abortion on demand, that will never happen.

This stupid fake war on women is getting old and stale. Yawn!

It'll become apparent to the Dems/Left on the night of November 6th, 2012.

We must not accept the premise that whatever a lib says a conservative gaffe is, is actually a gaffe at all.
