What would happen if say several African American males showed up in the most white geographic
voting election and challenge the voting status of White People.
Think about it, these Voting Activists aligned with the Tea Party are going to African American voting areas and stand their watching people vote. It's intimidating, especially when they show up when the older folks come to vote. These folks remember voting intimidating, and Jim Crow and all sorts of voting suppression aimed at the African American community.
I have been wondering about this since I was coordinating voting workers when i was an officer of the democratic party here in the Cleveland Area...

2. So to answer the question in the OP: nothing
absolutely nothing will happen to black activists who go out of their way to intimidate white voters.

3. Hello right winger
Is that the New Black Panther Party? They don't look that frightening to me. Why do you find them intimidating?
Racism is why. If they were white the Attorney General would probably refuse to prosecute them. Oh wait Holder did stop the prosecution that the racist Bush administration started.

15. Ummmmm... fact check time.
What were these guys convicted of? I don't recall them being found guilty of any crime.
If two "evil scary" black men are standing around near a voting area in Philly, and they're ARMED with physical weapons to boot, they would be lucky just to be arrested.
Sounds to me like all those claims about them harassing voters is bullshit. Unless these guys were arrested and convicted of something - which they absolutely would be, if they even LOOKED guilty.
In fact.... hmmmmmmmmmm.

No voters have come forward to claim that they were intimidated and did not vote because of the New Black Panthers' presence outside the polling center.
Well there you have it they were never convicted so it's all good. Never mind that they were going to be prosecuted, but Eric My People Holder stepped in and stopped it. :banghead:

Since that Black Panther showing was neither massive, nor organized, nor in any way supported by the establishment. That single image of two men got huge amounts of air time and right-wingers everywhere judged it as an implicit and open threat.
But they do the same thing themselves on a massive scale and insist it's nothing to worry about, and anyone who feels intimidated is just a loony?
Let two crackers do that and see what tune you idiots will be singing. I'm so sick of hearing how small and insignificant the New Black Panties are, when you could have the exact same thing from a small group of crackers and they would be serving life in prison. :banghead:
-
Once again the bigots are fixated on skin color.
-
If those idiots were white, someone probably would have knocked them over the head for their trouble. Since they were black, it's safe to assume any confrontation would have been labeled a hate crime and the person with less skin pigment would have been arrested.
-
I'm not sure why a couple black guys standing in front of my polling place would be scary to me. I am around black people every day, they aren't scary. I'd walk by, say hi, vote, and walk back out-just like I would if a couple of white guys were standing there.
I am seriously getting tired of conservatives being called racist when we are not the ones who make a big deal about skin color.

Two black guys standing at the poll brandishing night sticks wouldn't bother you? I beg to differ.

Well, I would applaud you for your color blindness. I would also say it would be much harder for the DOiJ to dismiss the charges with an actual aggravated assault victim available.

I don't see where the original poster said anything about night sticks, but I suppose you assume that is what he meant by "challenging the voting status of white people." But even if they had nightsticks, what do you think they are going to do with them. The polling places around here are pretty busy that day, think a bunch of black guys are going to beat the heck out of a white guy in front of a bunch of witnesses? I'd almost be willing to take that beating just for the setback it would give to certain groups. Besides, I usually vote on the way in to work with a half dozen chain saws in the back, if a couple of anybodies are in front of the polls waving sticks around preventing me from voting, a quick pull on a starter cord and a dozen steps in their direction and they'll realize their sticks are worthless. :-)
But let's just jump to the worst possible scenario, they are armed. Ok, that's a setback and a bit scary, but you really think law enforcement wouldn't show up to escort them off? Or a group of irate veterans with bigger guns? Hell, bet I could get a group together to police a polling place to prevent something like this within minutes. Would we be the ones in trouble with the law, probably. But I have faith in this country this year, I think people are pissed off enough that they are going to vote no matter what. I'm no martyr, but do you think if the blank panthers shot a white republican who was trying to vote, do you think another black democrat would ever get elected this generation? It's time to get serious about this crap man, if you are cowardly enough to not go to the polls because a couple black punks may hurt you, gtfo. Who was it, Patrick Henry who said something along the lines of the tree of liberty needs to be replenished by the blood of patriots.
Beg to differ all you want. I'm 6'10", 275lbs and have gotten worse beatings than what a couple of punks with sticks could give me. Grow a pair, you let them push you around, they've won.
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Edit reason: pissed at pussies, this kind of cowering is why the left is winning. Ban me.

So what about Grandma? What about Sherry the soccer mom? What about Grandpa? What about your mom?
And you totally miss the point here. Perhaps you should see the video of these assholes. I'm glad you are 6'10, 275lbs. Easy to say grow a pair when you that big. So you would have no problem with your wife, mom, grandma, and grandpa walking past those idiots? So they should grow a pair too? Perhaps they should carry a couple of chain saws in their car?
Having said all that, I agree with you that these asswipes would not intimidate me and I ain't as big as you. But the bigger point is that they were allowed to be there at all.
-

Then do something about it! Are the bad guys the only ones allowed to be armed? Grab your gun, grab some serious friends, stand up to them, be willing to go to jail, the liberals are. Escort the ones who are afraid. You totally miss the point, this poster mentions stationing black people around polling places and you get all afraid, you fell right into what he wanted.
Not saying start the ok corral, but quit backing down. I wouldn't have a problem with my mom, grandma, etc walking past these guys, because I would take the day off work and escort them and any others that need it. If I pulled up at six am and these guys were out there, I'd run home, take a sick day, grab a couple retired marines, a couple pistols and be back there in fifteen minutes for the rest of the day.
And who allows them to be there??? Citizens too afraid to do anything about it.
I did just watch the video again, what's stopping you from lying that you are there to vote for obama and then going in and doing the opposite.

Well billy bad ass, if this was the wild west, then I would just shoot their ass and call the undertaker. Unfortunately it ain't and I don't want to get sent up for murder. You are still missing the damned point!!! The point is, they should not be there and around these parts, you can't be within 500 feet of a polling place doing stuff like that. Dunno what the law is where that precinct was. What should have happened is that the precinct captain should have called the law and had them removed, and then the feds should have prosecuted them.
The point here is, which you seem to miss, is that law enforcement should have taken care of it and the obozo admin refused to prosecute.
And don't mistake me for being afraid of said assholes cause I ain't.

So where did I say shoot the guys? I didn't. The are playing mind games, we can't do the same? You think punks like these would be hanging around if a half dozen white crackers legally carrying just show up?
No, I know law enforcement should have handled it, BUT THEY DIDN'T. So frankly, they won. Seeing this win, you don't think they aren't going to try it in greater numbers this time? Where does it stop? Not saying we need to go batman on their asses, but we need to stand our ground or there will come a day when no republican (even me) can walk up to a polling place without fear.
And you are just being stupidly obtuse with your so-called point-they weren't supposed to be there. I know, BUT THEY WERE THERE AND GOT AWAY WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When is that going to sink in? Law enforcement did nothing. Ok, I got your point, enough with point, how do you solve it? Shoulda, coulda, woulda, but DIDN'T.

So you and and your Bubba posse show up and what should be a minor law enforcement problem turns into a rumble. Then it escalates, and someone ends up dead. Then the media shows up and all of sudden it becomes a race war and the media will spin it into racist whiteys showed up with intent and then you would have another circus like what happened down in Florida, or where ever it was, with that hispanic guy that shot that black kid.
Yeah boy!!! That's the solution!!!!
Now if it would have been me... I would have called the cops. Were the cops even called, BTW? Then I would have filed a complaint with the Sec of State's office against the precinct captain. (The sec of state's office is in charge of monitoring elections in these parts). Then the next time these assholes showed up the precinct captain would have them removed.
That is the way you handle it.
Now you asked where does it lead? I'll tell you. It leads to most law abiding citizens, at least those that are informed, saying it is time to send obozo and their ilk back to Chicago. That is the ultimate goal. That is how you defeat these assholes... with the ballot box.
The time for your method is not now. Maybe sometime in the future if the organic waste matter hits the impeller, but not right now.
Oh dark thirty comes early and I need my ugly sleep. Have a nice evening.

Conservatives, they talk a big game, unless the possibility exists that they may have to face a couple black guys with sticks. Then they become unable to think of ways to bypass them and instead just stay at home complaining to anonymous strangers about how the liberal control will never change.

If the two New Black Panther Party thugs who showed up in the pic were not intimidating, then Tea party people showing up are not intimidating. It's an either/or thing. Saying one is and one isn't automatically kills your argument.

I'm not American, but I don't see what the fuss over voting hours is all about, especially in Democratic areas where I'd imagine voting is easier to do, due to Democratic leaning areas being more urbanised and therefore polling stations are closer to people's homes. This intimidation of people who want to vote Republican is flat out wrong, as others have said, it would just be safer to claim that you're voting for Obama.
-
The tension was so thick...
Well, something is thick anyway.

10 feet from the wall of where I vote is a large, all white graveyard. I think that within a few minutes of the NBPP showing up denying white folks the right to vote, it would be intergrated.

Well, intimidating voters is very undemocratic, I'd imagine polling stations could be kept in order by having a police officer stand by if anybody is intimidating voters.

What's this ? No voter intimidation ? Don't we need to find the much vaunted "middle ground" on this ? How about just moderate amounts of voter intimidation ?

What would happen if, say, several conservative Americans who happen to be black showed up at DUmmie Land to call them on their racism?

I don't like gay rights crusaders and or martyrs. I get the impression that you are one. I don't mind anyone's opinion, as long as they don't turn it into a crusade. If you should venture into crusader mode, I will oppose you equally if not more. I'll not be evangelized into the tolerance community, nor will I be bullied or verbally extorted from opposing it. But I'm more than happy to live and let live.

I'm not a crusader for gay rights, I've never actively done anything for it, I merely passively support it. I'm sorry if I came off being slightly aggressive about it, I didn't mean to be and I certainly disagree with bullying or extorting people into thinking what you want them to think.

Or, maybe, prosecutors who will actually take the evidence presented and prosecute the offenders so it doesn't happen again. Think that might be a good idea?
-
If they were to show up to the polls here folks would be pleasant and say hello and how are you. If they tried to get ugly there'd be a world of hurt rained down on them. Folks wouldn't take to seeing someone trying to scare the old folks. No one else would be intimidated, well except for the democrat voters and who really cares if they vote or not? :-)

Just what is so intimidating about a couple of men standing outside a polling area ?? Now I would feel uneasy if these men were wearing Union shirts carrying base ball bats.
Somewhere down the line we have lost our gumption, everyone acts like a victim, head down eyes averted except for our police and the bully's out there.
Stand as tall as you can, walk with assurance and do make eye contact, throws the creeps off guard, they do not expect to get that reaction from a potential victim. Screws with their itty bitty minds, all so use to fear and respect--a power trip. They come across an eighty year old man that shows no fear of them then the paranoia sets in, some old lady in a wheel chair that checks them out and keeps going, do either of the prime bait have a gun on them, is this a trap, are they being photographed ???
If all else fails get the most wicked smile on your face you can muster, give them the eye to eye cult stare that tells them you are totally crazy and have no problem with cutting off their balls.
We need to teach gumption and the physiology of the criminal class to protect ourselves, I have mentioned the senior citizen groups being taught cane -foo before.
A sad day for America when Just 2 men hanging out in front of a voting area can scare off people that want to avoid possible trouble.
After all the blood our men and woman have shed to make it possible for us to vote, about the only thing that would keep me away would be Army tanks and bazookas.
-

Some people are more equal than others. When one of the less equals confronts a more equal about anything then the less equal is in more trouble for what they did than the more equal is for what they did to cause the confrontation.
If you don't get that, I can put in Nadinese for you.

Some of these ****ing morons in this thread completely miss the damn point. "I" would care less and would probably try to get into a confrontation with these douchebags. My grandmother, however, would not. This has not a ****ING thing to do with that, you idiots. We have a Damn justice department that supposed to handle this shit. They're not because some affirmative action jackass that's floated through his entire life has decided not to do shit. Maybe we should start taking the ****ing law into our own hands. I DAMN sure don't think these black-clad wannabe gangsta thugs would try that shit down here in the rural south. They'd be found in a gator's stomach in the Phinizy swamp.
