The Political Discussion I Encountered Yesterday At A Family Party......

Comments from the cousins that they liked neither Obama or Rmoney. That they might be forced to either not voting in Nov or voting for Obama only because he seems the lesser of two evils.

When I asked why they seemed down on Obama - it was because he didn't do anything in this last 3 1/2 years. I pointed out all he did and I also brought up the fact that this was incredible because the Repugs set out to stonewall everything he tried to do and that from the get-go they said that they were going to make Obama a one term President.

I said to them that they have to give Obama credit for all he did in spite of this and blame what didn't happen on the Repugs and not take it out on Obama.

I then pointed out that there is a lot at stake in this election. SCOTUS, Medicare, Social Security, Healthcare in General and then asked them if they are willing to take a chance on Rmoney and the Repugs that are out to change all that if given the opportunity. I also pointed out how important it was to gain back control of the House and re-take the Senate.

They are all up in the age where in the next 4 years that they will be reaching retirement.

I don't know if I changed any minds - but I sure made them think.

What struck me most is how uninformed they are and that the Dems and the Obama Campaign have not been able to get this message across. This seems to me the biggest obstacle that we have for an Obama victory in Nov.

I'm totally confused as to why l0rd 0bama is not running on his record as well.  Since the recovery the median middle class income has dropped over $4000/year. There are record numbers of people on food stamps. Record number of people on SSDI. Four record $1 trillion plus yearly deficits. Over two thousand dead servicemen in Afghanistan. Gasoline has doubled. Basic food staples have doubled. There has not been a single budget passed under 0bama. 0bama's own budgets have gone down to two 99-0 defeats in the senate and one 430-0 defeat in the HOR. The muslim brotherhood and the mullahs have taken over northern Africa. Black unemployment is at a record high. 55% of college graduates are not getting jobs. 95% of all the green energy companies have gone bankrupt and wasted over $40 billion dollars. The GM bailout now stands at a taxpayer loss of $30+ billion. Healthcare insurance has almost doubled. The Social Security system had it's first year in the red, 12 years ahead of schedule.

Yet we hear nothing of these marvelous accomplishments.  I for one want the 0bama campaign to tout these awesome unprecedented achievements. Why or why won't 0bama or the MSM shout all of this at the top of their lungs?

Oh and 1 bong for the bouncy.

That was the repukes fault. They wouldn't raise the debt ceiling and spend even more.  :-)

Every normal person just loves when a nutcase brings up politics at a family party.

I'm sure if it really did happen, it was a great time for all.

I hate it when it when I am at a family gathering and people I agree with with bring up politics.  :-)
Time and a place for everything.
