on the front lines. Not as aides to anybody... as butter bars in the front lines... with a platoon of infantry.

Of course a 2Lt is only one bar.... but I digress.

Nads is responding to a misfit's request for Romney to send his sons to Syria.

As privates on the front lines, not as officers.
I didn't think so.

This form the same group that holds up Wesley Clark as the equal to George S Patton or How they love that jackwagon Bradley Manning. I wouldn't let DU pick ticks off a dogs ass over who should go into combat and as what rank they should be.

Who in the hell is talking about responding in Syria? Assad is busy, and will be for a while even if he succeeds in holding on to power. If Assad falls then they'll all be too busy killing each other to bother us. The only idiots I see thinking America needs to get involved are either liberals or misguided congressmen.

Nutcase nadin loves to google up inside lingo, and use it casually to impress the other DUmpmonkeys.
You can bet the farm she had never heard of the term "butter bar" until minutes before her post.
Her English will never be as fluent as that of Ricky Ricardo, or Jose Jiminez, or Chico Escuela (baseball has been very, very good to me).

Are they going to start this sh$t again? After three and a half years of giving obama a complete pass?! I hope they choke on their hyprocrisy.

Funny, but we never referred to Ensigns as "butter-bars" on the boat.
Usually we just called them khaki-clad cocksuckers. Or nubs. Or dink.

:panic: :panic:Oh shit, I thought she was talking about candy bars, like butterfingers or something!!

I'm lost on this one.
Butter bar is a term of qualified respect referring to the gold bar that a freshly minted officer wears as the lowest ranking officer insignia. Almost exclusively an Army term, used to an extent by the Air Force dating back to when it was the Army Air Corps. The subdued version looks a lot more like a rectangular pat of butter than the non subdued insignia does.

One more thing for her resume.

Take them into what, your weekly role-playing game meeting? Fortunately we have better systems for military personnel decisions than asking delusional Mexican dwarf doughpiles to make the call.
