It was just announced on Fox News that the RNC may be postponing the start of the Convention due to Hurricane Isaac. Florida Governor Rick Scott has declared a state of emergency already. It looks like it is going to be a pretty good storm.

Rick Scott also said that he is cancelling his speech at the convention due to the storm ..

All it's going to do in Tampa is rain a bit.  What a bunch of nervous neuters.

Competing with the weather for news is not wise - this is a good move.

Groups including Code Pink, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the AFL-CIO union and Planned Parenthood have already started arriving in Tampa, regardless of the forecast.

Police said even heavy rain could reduce the protesters' ranks, and could also bring relief from another worry: extreme heat.

I agree. Then you won't have one party (Liberals) crashing the party of the other.

It isn't forecast to even be a category 1 hurricane by the time it gets there, unless they have changed the forecast very recently.

I have family who live in central Florida. They said that it shouldn't be that bad either. They are just taking precautions because of how they been unprepared for them in the past.
