Mitt still trying to explain his birther comment

Romney: Birth certificate joke no 'swipe'

By MAGGIE HABERMAN

Mitt Romney expanded on his birth certificate joke from his stop in his home state Michigan in an interview with CBS News:

"No, no, not a swipe," Romney said. "I've said throughout the campaign and before, there's no question about where he was born. He was born in the U.S. This was fun about us, and coming home. And humor, you know -- we've got to have a little humor in a campaign."

Romney was on the campaign trail in his home state of Michigan Friday when he made a crack at the "birther" suspicions that ultimately drove Mr. Obama to release his long-form birth certificate to prove he was born in the United States.

<...>

...When Pelley asked Romney if he agrees Mr. Obama is the "legitimate president of the United States," Romney responded, "I've said that probably 30 times by now, and 31 certainly won't hurt."

10. It was not a gaffe and not a joke. This is going to continue into the convention and Trump will

help amplify it in his "special assignment". Now that Romney has sanctioned using the birther line by his leadership, everyone in the GOP is cleared to use it now. The media keeps calling it a joke, but it is dead serious and fires up the GOP base.

Even better it pissed off the moonbat base.  :rotf:

6. I can't shake the feeling that Rmoney is going to let the N-word slip before he loses in November.

As I've been saying since day one, he is not a smart man.

"Oh fiddlesticks, I was just quoting Huck Finn, Sean."

 :whatever:
Considering you think 0bama is a smart man, and he couldn't balance a checkbook to save his life, your assessment of Romney means nothing.

DUmpmonkeys, listen, it's a poke with a stick.
You cretins have done that in the past, you do it now.
Give it a rest. Grow a pair.

Romney has tweaked them. He essentially compared the 'taxers' to 'birfers' and 'troofers' Now they are really pissed off. Good.

I read this somewhere and it is worth repeating. Liberals believe that we should be more concerned with what Romney does with his own money than what Obama does with our money.

I would think that someone who is "not a smart man" is at least slightly more intelligent that someone who is an idiot. They constantly called W an idiot and he outfoxed them twice. If an idiot can outsmart them just think what someone who is "not a smart man" can do.

Where do they get these delusions?  The man headed the Salt Lake City Olympic Committee, a multi-million dollar capital investment firm that created (or saved) businesses that are household names, and was elected governor of a state.

Is tridim high or naturally stupid?

The birthers have been proven wrong in the same way, and to the same extent, and by the same people as the swiftboat veterans in 2004.

In other words, they have not been proven wrong.

That is why they infuriate the DUmp.
