School's 'Señores and Señoritas' day deemed offensive

ANAHEIM HILLS – Canyon High School will eliminate "Señores and Señoritas Day," an event where students were encouraged to don Latino-themed attire, after several students arrived to campus dressed as gang members, gardeners, border patrol agents and pregnant teens.

What about aztlan ? There used to be a real push by the illegals to retake it. Haven't heard anything in a long while.

"It was very offensive. It was demeaning to my culture," Garcia-Kessler said. "The school set it up as a day to celebrate Mexican culture, but some students thought it would be funny to go over the top. I just thought enough was enough."

So you are admitting that actual gardeners, gang members, and pregnant teens walking around in their everyday attire is offensive.  How sad for you.

My other question is, what's there to "celebrate" about the "Mexican culture"?  And if that "culture" is worth celebrating why aren't you back in Mexico enjoying that wonderful "culture" everyday?

Guys--it's Anaheim Hills--about as white-bread as you're gonna find in OC or anywhere in CA.

You want to see REALLY offensive, you butthurt pansies?  Go to any HS in Santa Ana, Garden Grove, or Orange.  You'll see the preggo chicks (usually on number two or three, escorted by their 40-year old "boyfriends") and bangers galore.

The really sad thing is, this behavior is being encouraged;

A teenaged DISTANT relative followed the TV series "Teen Mom" and of course followed their example. (the DU part of the family)  :thatsright:

 I love the fact that the kids have a good sense of humor.   Regardless of the educational system today, seems like quite a few of our kids are open eyed and creative, Perhaps all is not lost for the next generation.

Leave it to the kids to show reality to the adults that hide from it.  Darn if they want to teach history as it really is or was, what did they expect,  they were lucky a bunch of kids not come to school in WW1 Army uniforms to tell of Poncho Via, and or as Davie Crockett and the Alamo.------Could have had a few girls dressed in colorfull sheets as virgins to be sacrificed to the Gods.

What a shock to the teachers and the school administration that the kids are really learning despite their  attempts to dummy the kids down.

Next will be a Black history week and the girls all dress as Aunt Jemima and the boys as Little Black Sambo.

Irish history week and everyone comes to school drunk. Or  member of the IRA.

Scottish history week, the boys all wear kilts and at least one of them will scare everyone by playing a bag pipe.

Haitian week, Voodoo and Shamans.

American  Indian history week, kids show up with pock marks made with magic markers   on their body's and blankets that were given to them by the US Army.

Cuban History, kids have a flotation devise on them.

Possibility's are endless of what the kids can do to show the ignorance of their teachers and the school system.
