One would think that DUmbass might try to nadin the answer.

Never mind.  It is, after all, in DUmmyland.

DUmmie was so stupid at work that they gave him an IQ test....now they know for certain that he's really just not worth a damn to anyone.

What job gives an IQ test?

That is a little weird.  The MMPI, or Meyers-Briggs, maybe, but giving them actual IQ tests and then telling them the results can only lead to divisions when the ones who scored higher start begrudging any promotions or opportunities going to those who scored worse than themselves, or they just start lording it over anyone they outscored.

They know he's a DUmmie so they told him about scoring a .140 for the laughs that will ensue.  :-)

IQ tests are bullcrap. My husband is an engineer and has forgotten more about math than I will ever know. Science too. Yet, he doesn't do well on these kinds of tests. I always score high for the sole reason that I'm good at taking tests, even though on the math and science portions I pick my best guess through a process of elimination. Except for the basic stuff, I have no idea what the hell the answer is. Been able to do this all my life. Some people just don't take tests well. It's a stupid indicator of intelligence.

True.

When someone puts a test in front of my face, I kind of panic.  I'd rather someone just ask me a question and I'll give them the answer... if I know it, of course.  :)

Of course they are, and anybody who puts all of their faith in them isn't as smart as the test indicates. Genius comes in far more flavors - For example, how about musicians and artists ? How does one evaluate them ? Fine art and music is all mathematical, but its organic in nature, versus an almost artificial,  lifeless formula on a piece of paper.

Some people are capable of making numbers march in cadence, in perfect order-defining regularity. Others can make those same numbers dance and flutter about whimsically. Which is the real genius ?

Hey JR, If you have to ask what is a good score on a IQ test you probably shouldn't be taking it.  You're only going to embarrass yourself.

I'm in the mid 120's! I guess it's not how many IQ points you have, but what you do with them, LOL!

Uh-huh.

The poor OP poster is being run out of town.  With an IQ like that he has to be a mole.

No? Poor dumb bastards. Oh and FWIW, OP is full of shit. On testing for jobs they'll never give you a score, just a pass/fail or reply to that effect.

An IQ of 140 is two times an idiot.

Sung to the tune of Lionel Richie's "3 times a Lady"

"Two Times An Idiot"

Thanks for the times
That you've given me
The memories are all in my mind
And now that we've come
To the end of our rainbow
There's something
I must say out loud
You're once, twice
Two times an Idiot
Yes you're once twice
Two times an Idiot

And I love you
When we are together
The moments I cherish
With every beat of my heart
To touch you to hold you
To feel you to need you
There's nothing to keep us apart
You're once twice
Three times an Idiot
And I love you
I love you

I LOVE when the DUmmies start talking about IQs. Watch how every one of them is a genius.

Btw. I scored a 177 on one of those Facebook IQ tests, so I've got that going for me.

Me and you....those state wide algebra test we took back in high school.... :lmao:

Me an another fool were barely getting by in high school because we were lazy and quite frankly didn't give a damn. At school one day we spent several hours taking some state required math/algebra tests. Me and the other fool finished the test quickly and were reading comic books when the algebra teacher asked if we were done with the test..."Yes Ma'am". She then asked if we didn't want to go over our test and double check our work..."No Ma'am".

A couple of months later the test results came back, me and the other fool had the highest scores in the school and that placed us in the top 2% of the state. We spent a whole day in the office being quizzed about cheating, why aren't you doing better in school, etc...we were raked over the coals. I didn't then nor do I now claim it was because we were smart. I give the credit to just not getting excited about some "BIG TEST" of knowledge/intelligence. The smartest kid in school barely got into the upper 50%. I remember him as being nervous and sweating that day. He wanted so badly to do well that he screwed up the test...couldn't think straight.

As for those test they give you when applying for a job....I have aced those. I give the credit to having been raised on a farm and being exposed to many different experiences and problems that I had to solve on my own. You might say school taught me somethings and my daddy/farm taught me the other things, like, commonsense, common knowledge and problem solving.

Some of the dumbest people I've ever known had high IQ's and didn't mind telling you how smart they were.

I've said before that as intelligence trickles into one ear (in advanced degree students), common sense floods out of the other side, similar to what happened a year ago at Gilboa Dam in Schoharie County of NY, when Hurricane Irene came calling.

I can hardly even think about genius, LOL! That's some funny shit.

On edit: I know a woman that scored 70 on an IQ test. She became a school superintendent.

Why, certainly.  As lefties "get smarterer," they lose common sense quickly, and way out of proportion to what's replacing it.

The Gilboa Dam reference was an allusion to the fact that the National Weather Service told the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, which operates the Gilboa Dam (the reservoir that it is containing is the northernmost in the NYC Water System) that Irene would rain hard enough to cause an overtopping of the dam by 1.4 feet . . . until an hour before the storm hit.  Then, they upgraded that estimate of overtopping the Gilboa Dam to eight feet.  That is a whole metric shitload of water.  The NYC DEP was near the end of Phase One of their project to renovate the Gilboa Dam--$18 million into a project of $500 million total.  Irene did $13 million of damage to that $18 million Phase.  There's equipment of the contractors that DEP was using, that hasn't yet been found.  There's houses, cars, fuel tanks, and the like, in that reservoir that God only knows when they'll be found and recovered.

The idea is this:  It's a whole lot of common sense that comes out of lefties' minds, as the knowledge trickles in.
