A couple thousand miles out to sea there is a storm brewing. Never mind that it might dissipate, or turn away from any land mass. It's another instance of "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021159448

DUers it's time to pay attention again - 94l (Isaac) is going to hit some folks
Yes, MyLays, there is a storm, and the multiple tracks that it might take show it possibly impacting several different areas. So, yes, that might affect "some folks."
But it is important to be the first to bring the news of a *maybe* impending disaster. Are_grits_groceries (11,238 posts)
1. Until I came to DU,
I never knew that 'The Voice Of Possible Doom' was from Jamaica.

Yeah, that's funny the way the malarial primitive and Vlada Mitty both think they're providing a valuable service to the primitives by giving weather updates.
Weather information specific to only a couple of tiny little areas--the Caribbean and San Diego--that have no relevance, no meaning, to nearly all the other primitives.
I think it's an attention-getting gimmick on their parts.

No way!

That storm might affect the US in twelve days or so. Right around the Friday before Labor Day.
Maybe.
-
They really seem quite upset that even though it has been an unusually hot summer in many places nationwide, that nature hasn't followed up with monster hurricanes.
Too bad, primitives.
-
I've been under hurricane warnings a few times now where the storm turns 3-6 hours out. A couple have even still come ashore but dissipated before they did anything bad.
You can't tell this far out, ever.

'Da earf' keeps defiantly thwarting their narrative. Tremendous heat is supposed to be followed by gigantic hurricanes. The primitives really dig climate-change apocalypse porn.
-
The fact that there hasn't been another hurricane with the intensity and scope of Katrina or Ike since Katrina and Ike is in the top five of the DUmbass' Greatest Disappointments Of All Times.

Hey, just goes to show how much the DUmmies really watch TV News, listen to the radio or read a newspaper....yet they are so well informed. I guess it comes from listening to the voices in their head...like..."Stay in New Orleans. Katrina isn't going to hit us."

Well, seriously, think about it.
There's about 5,000 primitives, scattered all over the world, but mostly in this country they despise.
One imagines there's probably four or five primitives in the whole of the Caribbean, and maybe ten or twelve in the San Diego area.
This is like franksolich giving constant weather updates for the eastern slope of the Sandhills, as if there's tons of members of conservativecave out here.

Hurricane Gordon formed in about the same spot as this new crisis for MyLays, moved westward for a few days, turned, and is now approaching the Azores.
MyLays must have checked the DUmmy roster for members living in the Azores, didn't find any, and thus there is no need to warn them.
Whatever will they do!

Well, we at least had all those corpses hanging from trees in Galveston.
Without the DUmp, no one would have known.

I've been shooting all day. Haven't paid attention to a weather forecast.
My first thought was that he was predicting some sort of Biblical bad ju-ju was about to befall some poor DUmb sap. :thatsright:

While I can fault the DUmmies, it is a good idea to get ready, make sure everything is ready for a storm. All models today have that storm taking a path for the US.

Sum bitch...
It's now Issac (http://news.brevardtimes.com/2012/08/hurricane-isaac-may-hit-republican.html)

The Hurricane is Bush's fault.

I'm more interested in those brush fires around San Diego.
