Oh my.
The behind-the-8-ball primitive deviated from the party line, criticizing an African nation:

(Gambian) President plans to kill off every single homosexual
Gambian President Yahya Jammeh says he will “cut off the head†of any homosexual caught in his country.
...snip...
Jammeh also ordered any hotel or motel housing homosexuals to close down, adding that owners of such facilities would also be in trouble.
He said the Gambia was a country of believers, indicating that no sinful and immoral act as homosexual would be tolerated in the country.
He warned all homosexuals in the country to leave, noting that a legislation “stricter than those in Iran †concerning the vice would be introduced soon.

For those waiting for the primitives insisting that George Bush's America is just as bad or worse, it's at this bonfire, but later on.

16. Don't you know? It is OK when sanctioned by a government entity as they do in Texas and Florida and other states.

6. Nice right wing phraseology there
"religion of peace"?? Isn't that right off a Daniel "Crack" Pipes script??
Obviously persecution of gays is ****ed up, but let's not go to the Freeper terminology of blanket hatred against Muslims. Which is just as ****ed up as blanket hatred against gays, for that matter.

9. It has ceased to be a right wing meme
The defense of Islam has been it's a religion of peace.
Yet...in the last three years we've seen
1. The Pakistani Parliament protest the Dutch Movie using "Islam is a religion of peace" and then threaten to kill the producer.
2. Rushdie still lives under heavy security to be protected from Islamists.
3. Iran (and other Islamic countries) still continue to execute homosexuals.
4. The highest ranking Islamic clerics in Indonesia want the laws changed to classify an minority Islamic off-shoot to be classified as apostates. This would deprive the group of any legitimacy as a religion.
5. There are areas of Thailand where it is unsafe to travel because the Islamic separatist groups want the country to abandon Buddhism and institute Sharia law. They have killed over 100 people this year alone.
6. The woman who was raped in Saudi Arabia, was sentenced to at least 50 lashes. If the King had not caved under pressure from the INternational Community, this punishment would have been carried out.
7. Let's not forget the Danish cartoons of Mohammad
8. The genocide occurring in Darfur.
If you travel around Europe and Asia, you are hearing the same distain for Islam among centrists and leftists.

15. no, it's still a right wing meme. because people who tar a whole religion for the actions of some practitioners or political regime are spreading right-wing memes, whether they acknowledge it or not.
your list is crap, no offense intended.

17. My apologies for saying it's not a right wing meme because it should have read "Not just a right wing meme. It's now being used by leftists and centrists throughout Europe and eastern Asia."
As to the you thinking the list is crap...too bad.
It is not crap, just fact.
on edit: I'm not offended. We just disagree

12. Which "religion of peace" would that be?
Christianity's no improvement: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/3014188.stm
The swindling primitive's using the same trick the nocturnally foul one uses here, equating two things as equal in evil, when in fact one is very bad and the other is only mildly disagreeable.
The story the swindling primitive uses is about Nigerian Anglicans opposing gay priests; nowhere is it mentioned that Nigerian Anglicans are calling for the execution or murder of gays.
And a primitive notices it the same time franksolich does:

13. Funny, nowhere in that article did they talk about KILLING the gays.
I guess you can't make the distinction.

14. It's a distinction without a difference.
I have no respect for religions of discrimination, because "peace" without justice is nothing but a weak truce on the back of someone's (hopefully temporary and brief) status as lesser.
Now, the swindling primitive HAS to be the nocturnally foul one's mole on Skins's island.
The pattern of the argument is eerily similar, as if emanating from the same cerebral mass.

Obviously persecution of gays is ****ed up, but let's not go to the Freeper terminology of blanket hatred against Muslims. Which is just as ****ed up as blanket hatred against gays, for that matter.
Yet, a blanket hatred of Christians and Jews is perfectly acceptable in their warped little world. :mental:

Well, then, the question becomes: What do you want on your tombstone?

Have they not seen all of the beheading videos? Don't they realize they are already marked for a meeting with a sword? First in line in fact.

To me 'homosexual' usually means a 'man'. Now that brings up the question, which head are they going to cut off? Me, I couldn't live out either one..... :-)

I have no respect for religions of discrimination,...
This fool has tied himelf in knots. He can't have respect for any religion because there's not a single one who doesn't "discriminate" who can participate based upon the tenants of the particular religion itself. He also can't have any respect for the non-religious or atheist because even they "discriminate" upon the basis of not having an organized religion and/or not believing in any supreme being(s) at all.
More often than not, DUmmies paint themselves into a corner trying to be cleavor, something of which they just aren't capable of being.

Does one have to be mentally ill to believe in the twisted and false logic of liberalism?
OR
By believing in liberalism does the twisted and false logic make one mentally ill?
Either way, liberals are mentally ill.

That has got to rate as one of the stupidiest things I've read on DU in the last 15 minutes.

You are wrong, Frank. I would never qualify my lack of respect for religion by limiting it to religions of discrimination... whatever the Hell that means. I have no respect for religion... period. And, I don't mole.
