Donald Trump said on Greta tonight that if Romney gets elected, he wants to be the Secretary of Commerce. He says that he would be great for the job because he wouldn't let China screw us over anymore.
What do you all think? I kinda like the idea.

In my opinion, Donald Trump does not have the moral compass suitable to serve in any capacity. We are fighting to get rid of sleazy characters in the federal government, not encourage more.

Just because Donald Trump wants something doesn't mean it should be handed to him. Romney would be seen as a joke.
He needs to ditch Bernanke and Giethner ASAP.

Not exactly. Trump said he was happy doing what he is doing and has not desire to go into public office. Greta kept egging him on concerning what job he would be good at. He said Commerce Sect. Don't think Trump would want to be in a confining job like that nor would he accept it if it was offered to him.

This.
I wouldn't trust Donald Trump to rebuild the WTC towers; what makes anyone think he's trustworthy enough to serve in a government capacity? He wants it too much.

Yep. Also his whole career has been built on carving out a goal and then working to build it to the disadvantage of his mainly-domestic competitors. His ability to formulate and pursue policies that integrate many diverse interests for the greatest common good is a totally unproven thing, and one which I personally doubt even exists. His career has been largely in the leisure industry, a subset of the service sector, and I would be concerned about his unfamiliarity with the production sector that actually turns out the hard goods which would be exactly where he would have to be going head to head with the Chinese. He is also a loose cannon par excellence who would be a lightning rod for negative public attention to any administration that gave him (Or tired to give him) a Cabinet post, like Billy Carter but with an actual position of responsibility.
