I was just released from the hospital. I got there Monday night following a bad jump where I pretty much couldn't walk or sit. After the x-rays and CT are done, the doctor comes to me and says "Well, according to this xray, you just gave birth to a 10 pound baby." Turns out, I had a diastasis of the symphysis pubis, the ligament that holds the two sides of the pelvis together. I also fractured my right fibula. I have a sling holding my pelvis together now, and a walking boot for my fibula. I'm on 30 days of convalescent leave and have crutches and other disability related equipment.
Ladies, I will never, ever, talk shit about child birth again. That shit hurts.

Sorry, but that made me laugh.

That's what you get for jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
Hope you heal up soon.

Having a baby doesn't hurt as bad as your accident sounds (we get epidurals). I hope you feel better soon. Did they give you anything for the pain?

I like a doctor with a sense of humor....and you got one.... :lmao:
Hoping you have a speedy recovery.

Having had a spinal last year for surgery, that would help. They gave me iv morphine and dilaudid twice. Percocet for at home.
Worst part was trying to walk to the assembly area that was about a mile away. I made it 500 yards before I broke down. The hour long ambulance ride wasn't fun either.

Seconded. I cannot even begin to imagine how miserable you feel, and quite frankly, I hope I never know.

Feel better!
