Thanks for having me here at Conservative Cave, I appreciate the opportunity to discuss the issues with my fellow Conservatives, learn from all of them, have a good time, and crack a joke now and then. /Grin.
I am a strong Conservative and a strong Family man who loves America, the Conservative Movement, the United States Military, the National Foolball League, the United States Marine Corps, my wife, children, grandchildren, NASCAR, ice cold Pepsi Cola, rib-eyes on the barby [charcoal only please], Ford pickup trucks (if you own a Chevy don't worry, God will forgive you for that /BigGrin) ...
I also love Fox News, Sam's Clubs, and all big huge indoor shopping malls ~~ and I love to spend money, I try to love people and use money. I do save for a rainy day, but otherwise I put forth my best effort to spend every dime I can get my hands on, 'cause when you die you can't take it with you, ha, and all the people I love like to "get stuff" right now without waiting and while they're still living, I think. /Big Grin
I am very optimistic about the future, have not a single gloom & doom bone in my body, love to laugh and have a good time, love music, good up-lifting literature, and good movies.
Last great film I saw was Acts Of Valor.
I also liked Stallone's The Expendables and plan to see the sequel come August 17th.
I like all the oldie goldie Rambo movies, and even the old Chuck Norris movies ... Chuck Norris jokes too: "When Chuck Norris was born he drove his mother home from the hospital" ... "Chuck Norris can cut through a hot knife with butter." :lmao:
Thanks again for having me ....

Yeah, peach cobbler (with vanilla ice cream) is pretty good and a great way to finish up Sunday dinner.
Re the Reputation thing: Okay, no worries /grin

Howdy, Jack.
Welcome to the cave.
What are your thoughts on bacon (aka God's perfect food group)?
I can forgive you about the flat Coke Pepsi. My wife drinks the Devil's elixir.

Far be it from me to steal dutch's thunder, but I dare say that peach cobbler is a favorite pretty much all the way around. IOW, right answer.
With one minor quibble:
Peach cobbler is good at ANY time. With or without vanilla ice cream (though everybody knows it's best with vanilla bean ice cream, slightly softened at the edges).

Butterfield's, the buffet at Choctaw Resort and Casino near Durant, OK., has amazing peach cobbler (with a soft serve ice cream machine right next to it). Their bread pudding is one of the best, too. Ummmmmmm.

Thanks for the welcome Kyle, and yeah I like Chuck a lot, a good Conservative he is, and a Christian man too I believe. I saw him interviewed once and they drug out about 25 or so of the best Chuck Norris jokes and had Chuck read them, he just about cracked up, that was the funny part.

Hi Jason, thanks for the welcome.
God's perfect food group. Exactly!
I love bacon, I love anything that keeps the Health Nazis frustrated and foolishly dreaming about the day they can use the gov'ment to force you to be healthy /Grin.
The liberal Health Police have one main rule: If it tastes good, spit it out! :lmao:
Ha ...

Speakin-aa-bacon: I had a BLT at Denny's last night. It was surprisingly awesome!
Man, thats sounds good, I love BLT's.
But I had yesterday for dinner, at a big steak house, what they call a Smokehouse Burger, fried Medium, topped off with 3 strips of smoked bacon, add cheese, and with mayo on both sides spread thick. Side was onion rings. Washed it down with cold Pepsi Cola.
My wife had that talapia fish thing, blackened with salsa sauce, she said it tasted great, but I'm a beef kind of dude. (It upsets the Health Police /Grin)
Life is good.
/grin

I've already traveled the Coronary Bypass Route, so I have to eat the talapia when I'm being good. I do the BLT when I'm feeling a bit devilish.

Re ice cream "slightly softened at the edges":
I hear ya!
I'm with you on that, frozen ice cream does not taste as flavorful as semi-soft ice cream. I think the extreame coldness when frozen, numbs one's taste buds.
I always put the whole half-gallon in the microwave for a full 60 seconds, my wife hollars from the other room, "Do NOT melt mine, I don't like soft ice cream." (She does not know what she is missing. Ice cream tastes better in a semi-melted state.)
CactusCarlos ... Ballygrl ... Thanks for the welcome, appreciate it.

Ricky,
:-) I think redheads are some of the most beautiful women on earth, and I thank God for them as magnificient works of art
so to speak. I have in mind, for example: http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2008/specials/beauties/beauties/julianne_moore300.jpg
'Course, blondes and the darker haired ladies are not to be unappreciated to be sure..

Hi from Maine....
Hello seahorse.
Lobstah is the #1 food group here...
"Lobstah" is tasty to be sure. Grilled shrimp is good too. I love seafood and we fry fish a lot, out on the porch though, so it does not stink up the house for a day or so.
I love fried Croaker. Salt 'em down real good, bread 'em with meal, lay them in 'bout ½ inch of Olive Oil, and fry 'em in an electric skillet out on the porch... homemade slaw, cornbread, and good old iced tea w/lemon.
/hungry

If my neighbors saw me cooking out on the porch they would call the authorities. :)

My hubby is like this and I so want to torch our house. Really.
:fuelfire: /Grin ... I expect most ladies feel that way? My wife does. Her best friend is The Salvation Army. (Seriously)
In my case I keep my Magnificient Clutter restricted to just my Lair, the rest of our house is based on the principle of "A Place For Everything, And Everything In Place"... yard too, we keep our yard looking like something out of Home & Gardens with regard to it's neatness IE no clutter.
Thought For Today:
"If you keep on bringing in stuff from Walmart, Sam's Club, and the Mall, and never have yard sales and/or make regular trips to The Salvation Army, you will at some point, not be able to get inside your house."__Me
(I'm just inconsistent with the principle with regard to my Lair, there I'm a pack-rat ... /Grin)

Seahorse, actually a Croaker is a fish. They get their name because they make a croaking sound when out of the water.
They are usually about 6 to 9 inches long and weigh in under one pound. Once in awhile you get some bigger than that.
They taste really good, have relatively few bones, and the meat is not at all soft like some fish which means they stay in one piece and fry up real good.
This link should show you a pic of a Croaker:

Would a croaker be similar to a tree climbing fish?
/Grin ... Kyle, yeah I think so, they look the same to me. I have seen a large number of Croakers climb trees. When I go to sleep after eating a very heavy meal late at night with a lot of greasy food is when I see the fish come out of the ocean and climb trees, and a lot of them are Croakers. /Big Huge Grin
