A car dealer that is - and most buyers are opting for the gun over the gas:
Dealer Offers Free Gun With Car Purchase
BUTLER, Mo. -- A local car dealer is holding a controversial promotion involving guns.
Max Motors in Butler is offering anyone who buys a car the choice of $250 in gas or a free semi-automatic handgun.
"Like I say, it's a choice -- protection or gas," said Walter Moore with Max Motors.
Moore said he came up with the gas or guns promotion.
"We got high gas prices, theft, carjackings, innocent people getting hurt," Moore told KMBC's Chris Nagus.
So far, the handgun is a more popular choice.
"Right now were running 80 percent toward the gun," Moore said.

The article is a little skimpy on the details of the gun itself, but I'd probably pick it as well, for novelty's sake. AND, this is giving the left yet another reason to have another meltdown.

This dealer is in my local area, and was interviewed on radio yesterday....he stated that a group of about 6 long-hairs (his words, not mine) showed up yesterday at the dealership to protest, until he and his employees "put on their cowboy hats, and went out and told them that if they didn't leave, they were going to get their butts stomped", again, his words, not mine.......
Our local conservative radio hosts have been having a field day with this........one station is doing a live remote at the dealership this afternoon, and the guy mentioned that his daily sales rate has doubled since the promotion began.....

Hrm... not the Moore I was expecting to be involved in the story.

Last I heard, sales are up 400%....only two guys took the free gas...one was "an old guy" and the other guy was from Canada. :-) The rest took the voucher for the gun....
The dealer did this after Obama's comments about folks "that cling to guns" had pissed him off....
"We're not clinging to nothing. We're just damn glad to live in a free country where you can have a gun if you want. This is the way it ought to be."

With the exception of Fox that reported this like the above article, the American MSM left out the part about Obama.......imagine that!

I love how all but a few people decided against the free gas and went for teh free gun, especially considering that gas is at $4 per gallon at this point. Just goes to show you that leftists may run the media, but they don't control us. :)
