COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – Texas A&M University says a shooter has been taken into custody near its campus in College Station.
The university issued a warning on its website just before 12:30 p.m. Monday warning of an active shooter near the campus football stadium, Kyle Field. The warning tells residents and students to avoid the area.
The university later said the shooter was taken into custody, but warned residents and students to still avoid the area.
There was no immediate information on injuries.
College Station lies about 90 miles northwest of Houston.

Just heard about that. Thoughts and prayers going out to the victims and their families. Tragic.

According to Cavuto the shooter is dead now too.

The Constable and his partner were serving an eviction notice on some guy suffering under the Obama Great Depression.
Expect more of this economic failure and violence if Obama is re-elected.
-
The victims and the victims families are my prayers.
How long till the left blames this on the right?

And on another thread some were complaining about the cops mistreatment of others.
Darn if I were a young cop and some 80 year old in a wheel chair scratched her crotch, I would be tempted to draw my gun and demand to know what she is dong under her crocheted lap robe. :whatever: :whatever:

Countdown to Brian Ross at ABC calling the shooter a Tea Party member/right wing extremist in 5...........4............3...........2......

The shooting occurred after noon at a small home just outside of the College Station, Texas, campus.
But they said Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann was killed in the gunfire, as was a third man who hasn't yet been identified. The constable was already down when officers responded to reports of shots fired.
Mr. Bachmann was in the process of serving an eviction notice when he was shot, Scott McCollum, the assistant chief of police in College Station, said at a news briefing Monday afternoon.

If they shout it long enough and loud enough, they may be right some day.

Well, he did "like" the Tea Party Patriots on FB on 11 Nov 2010 and Americans for Prosperity on 24 Nov 2010. He also "liked" the page "Sarah Palin for President 2012" and two Michele Bachmann pages. Not really a stretch to say he was a tea party supporter. *shrug*

His mother said he was mental (so did his step dad). We could point out several mass killers who were lib wackos in the last few years as well. There are nuts on both sides.

OTOH, this is one conservative whack job to how many lefty nut jobs? I've lost count of the violence from the left.

I wasn't trying to imply that Tea Party = whackadoodle. But this guy did align himself with the Tea Party - at least at some point. In general, the guy clearly has issues. I mean just off the top, you know he's getting evicted so he must have been under some desperate financial stresses. Though I read somewhere last night that he apparently quit his job.
Frankly, I think when you start shooting up people like that in general you're probably a whackadoodle - just like the Joker guy in Aurora or Loughner in Arizona. To do something like that means you have issues, or at least it does to me. I don't try and assign everything as a left or right whatever.
Plus it doesn't appear that he updated his FB much at all in the last year or so, so I really wouldn't put much stock into reading a motivation for his actions off of it.
