It seems the "next president" gaffe has been scrubbed

I heard it clearly this morning when Mitt introduced Paul.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the next president of the United States, Paul Ryan."

Today, about 3.00-ish on a CBS feed on DC's WTOP, they were doing the story of Mitt's tapping Paul for his veep.

As the voice over kept telling the story, they played what they portrayed (by context, but not by specific description) as the actual introduction many of us heard this morning. Except, in this version, Mitt got it right: "Ladies and gentlemen, the next vice president of the United States, Paul Ryan."

The "liberal" news media sucks.

See, here's the thing. It was a gaffe. Hahahaha. Then its over. No one will bring it up again.

But Oh No.

Not Mr. Thin Skin.

I'm sure Mitt's good buddies with whoever at CBS controls this sort of thing, this news scrubbing.

The mediamother****ers make me sick.

2. it was funny, but not really a big deal. Obama did the same thing when introducing Biden and the MSM didn't make a big deal out of that either.

3. Uh . . . . no, the gaffe itself isn't a big deal

7. Obama caught himself one second after he did it. Romney didn't know he did it until he was told.

4. Yep. Over on FoxNews earlier today ...

one of the blonde talking head hosts said: " ... listen very closely to Romney's slip-up ..."

then when the played the clip they used a different part of Romney's introduction were he actually said 'vice-president' (not the part where the gaffe really was)

then after that they played a clip of the Obama slip-up.

It really pissed me off that they didn't use the correct Romney clip of him saying ".. the next president .."

6. that's the big deal....it's called manipulating reality

Well, well.

My, my.

Isn't "manipulating reality" one of the very few things in which the primitives excel?

10. Well the "joke" is Faux because Obama IS President and that's something that neither Rmoney or Ryan will ever be!

8. I turned on NPR just minutes before Ryan finished his speech

NPR then repeated the introduction and it had already been fixed with a nice "vice" inserted.

9. They ran the "corrected version" on our local progressive station today around 4:00.

WCPT Chicago. Not sure what syndicated show was running.

Glad our side is being so ****ing gallant.

11. The liberal media did this same sort of shit for Dullard Son.

They doctored tapes and transcripts all the time.

*That* is the big deal in all of this.

Like Dan Rather's TNG memo, one supposes.

Too bad for the primitives.

Obama's pResidency has been one gaffe followed by another and the media never cover them. Stinky the dude needs to eat a few more of those Baby Ruth candy bars he finds in the cat box.

This is why I'm looking forward to the debates - Obama, live without a teleprompter, trying to "wing it" against someone a bit more quick-witted than McCain. Not to mention, he isn't going to be able to avoid hard questions by stating (Paraphrase) 'the choice is clear - you can support my candidacy, or vote for more of the same'.

Though it would be AWESOME if he does. Gaffe of the century.

His candidacy IS more of the same.  Why would anyone but a fool want more of that? :???:

The media alters shit all of the time.

There were several in the Zimmerman self defense shooting. They made Nikki Haley darker to give her more of a East Indian.

What REALLY gets me is that the DUmmies think that the media is a right wing entity. :argh:

Exactly - but that was his boilerplate response against McCain last time around. I believe that Obama has yet to come up with a new 'I don't want to answer this question' response that will be acceptable to the public. And it wouldn't surprise me at all that an unprompted Obama would accidentally fall back to his old catchphrase.

0bama didn't catch himself after he said he had been to 57 states, he also didn't catch himself after saying that 0bamacare would reduce insurance premiums by 3000%.

He said it, then waited for an appropriate time to correct himself. Did a pretty good job of it to be honest.

Do you suppose Barry will use the line:  "That's above my pay grade." this time when debating Mitt?   :lmao:

I was going to say "breathing", but I'm having doubts.

Geeze and here I get slammed for confusing two ports of call that happend 40 years ago.

I believe Obamas worse slip up was saying that Trever kid could have been his son.    Why because of color that doesn't mean one damn thing. do we toss aside children born to green eyed parents because the eyes of the child  are blue of brown ???

Curious why he did not say Zimmerman could have been part of his family ????

Whites, Latinos and Asians could never be his child.   Does this mean that the children of the before mentioned have little value to him ??

Now we non blacks are called racists if we repeat Obamas own words to describe a black male as a son of Obama.   All black people are Obamas children, the rest of the world and all the races are just of no connection to him.

Now to the fact that Obama has no use for his mothers family the inside or the Oreo, ----in George Jefferson's speak, I do wonder just who his real mother was.

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

We are the United States of America, not a off shoot of Kenya.
