Here is a comment someone posted about the video.
Someone at NBC Apparently Approved This Creepy, Porny Video of Female Olympians.
Have you barfed yet today? Get thee to a drain of some kind before watching this video the pervs over at NBC have put together in order to show their appreciation for Olympic bodies of the 2012 London Games.
Unfortunately, to NBC, showcasing the "Bodies in Motion" of the XXX Olympiad means taking footage of conventionally attractive female athletes competing in sports that require them to be scantily clad, slowing it way down as the camera lovingly caresses their butts, breasts, and bouncing ponytails, and playing some soft core porn music over it.
Apparently NBC is too busy focusing on jiggling ladies' asses to notice ladies kicking ass.
Holy cow what a prude. There was nothing wrong with that video. It's the same stuff that was broadcast live to every TV on the planet. You can see far worse on just about every beach in America.

Well, there's some truth to the comment, AFAIC.
Bottom line is, sex sells. That's one of the huge reasons that beach volleyball was added to the Summer Games lineup in 1992 - it's a jiggle show with athleticism to boot. Lotsa eye candy. Nobody gets hurt.
The Olympics is all about money. Every dime.
In 1976, I drove north to Montreal, Canada, and crashed the party. Tried to get a ticket to get into Olympic Stadium and was absolutely floored at the price. Couldn't afford a ticket to get in. God only knows what people are paying today.
But I got my revenge. In 2002 when the Winter Games came to Salt Lake City, Mrs. E and I rented out our finished basement and our guest room and were paid insane amounts of money for the trouble.
Did I say the Olympics were about money? Selling sexy vids helps with that.

Written by a woman decrying the objectification of female athletes into sex symbols.
Thank God women don't do that with the male gymnasts, divers, etc.
It's kind of how we're wired.
That said, I only watched women's beach volleyball for the, um, great technical plays.
