Yeah and that got McCain a lot more votes too. This year is different though, 0bama has been in office for almost 4 years and people have seen what his policies do, so odds are much better this time that Barry goes home.

I figured they were plotting his replacement all along because it was the only hope they had. SloJoe takes a dive, they gain sympathy, Hillary rides in on her trick pony and off to the race we go. SloJoe is and has been a liability what with his hoof in mouth disease. :fuelfire: His departure is a win win. SloJoe, buddy, there are lots of things they could do to take you out of the picture what with your aneurysm issues.

Ahhh...the next 16 years appears to be secure. President Romney through 2020, President Ryan through 2028. Ryan is to the right of Romney, so unlike Bush 41 who was to the left of Reagan, this appears to be a strong Reagan legacy in the making...

Well guess what? There's a lot of Independents out there who realize we have to get this economy back on track including reducing the debt. Now that Romney's campaign has settled down and filled the ticket with a fiscal conservative, I think you'll see them start drifting into his camp.

I heard a democrat say on the news a little while ago that the Obama administration was hoping that Ryan was the VP (they have said this about all of them except Portman or Pawlenty :whatever: ) then in the same breath said it was because Romney is desperate. :rotf:

He routinely wins over two-thirds of the vote. When Obama swept the nation in 2008, he carried Ryan’s district by four points. But at the same time, Ryan won reelection with 65 percent of the vote, meaning that a fifth of Obama voters also voted for him.

That is exactly what these bad polls are going to do - energize conservatives instead of demoralizing them. The opposite is also true. Some Democrats who are sour on Obama wont vote, because Obama has got it 'in the bag', and they needn't sully themselves with 'NeoCon' Obama.

The DNC/0bama/MSM polls are no longer trying to suppress the conservative vote. Things are so bad now that they are trying to keep a floor on democrat pessimism and stemming the flood of disappointed leftists. In every totalitarian regime like the one we are under now the propaganda is all about keeping the ignorant that other ignorant people are still for the dictator. In reality we all know that 80% of the public wants a change. The reason that this is not pervasive is that other people still think the regime is popular. The democrat party propaganda machine known as the MSM is doing all to make sure that tipping point will not happen but it is too late.

Remember this is the guy that in the so called "bipartisan" working group with the President before Obamacare passed...totally shredded the plan and the false claims the WH had made about it..in front of the President. To the point that the camera caught the POTUS absolutely shooting daggers at Ryan every time he spoke.
Obama then proceeded to publicly embarrass Ryan at a WH presser where Obama invited him to sit on the front row...and proceeded to smear his budget plan to his face in a totally classless move. Ryan was not happy.
Obama did that for only one reason...he's scared of Ryan and he knows that Ryan sees through his propaganda crap.
Given the economic problems this country has right now...all because of a plan Obama thinks "worked"...Ryan was a smart pick...plus he can explain his ideas for fiscal change in a way (I think) people can understand.
