What a lovely young woman!! Not only should she be proud of herself, but so should her parents and I'm sure Chic-fil-a will use her in their training videos on how to be classy even when dealing with jerks.

Maybe I'm too cynical, but I totally doubt the sincerity of Smith's apology. I can't help but think he only did it, to try to stem the flak he's been receiving from anyone and everyone, both in person and on line. And even moreso, in hopes of getting his job back.

People who decide to air their every little opinion on social media will eventually learn that more often than not, the hateful stuff is going to come back and bite them in the ass.

It's probably happened to many of us...getting torn a new one undeservedly by some a-hole at work.  I did once; I didn't report to him, he was in Sales, I was in Finance.  He was some upset that I didn't build his Christmas party into the budget.  (no big deal, to fix it, you just type 4 numbers, voila).  He ranted and raved and name-called and yelled.  I just stood there and took it, thinking "what an asshole, someday he'll get his."  And one day, he did.

He got newly assigned to a mgmt team I was on, the leader of which was showing me obvious respect.  He looked at me like a deer caught in the headlights.  "What's she going to say, eventually?"  I never said anything.

He keeps blinking I noticed, which shows he is not apologetic.
