I could think of many potential VPs whose names are being bandied about that could be a lot worse choices for Romney.  If Gen. Petraeus is the pick, he certainly provides the "foreign affairs gravitas" that the lame-stream bloviators have been complaining that Romney lacks.

It would be funny as hell because the left wouldn't know what to do. They bashed him under Bush but praised him under Obama.

I'd say Petraeus isn't a skilled Washington insider, but hell, he's done better at the Potomac two-step than most politicians have.

He'd be a good choice, and Barry's having mentioned leaked it to some "top fundraiser" shows his nervousness about the whole thing.

I'm sure Barry wishes he could dump Plugs, but like a broccoli fart, Joe just sorta lingers......

I don't know if he would be a good pick or not. I know nothing about his stance on social or economic issues. It might make Repubs happy but the proof is in the pudding. He could be as lacking on domestic/economic issues as Palin was on international issues. Economy issues is the key to a blow out victory for Romney.  

I know two people that Obama does not want on the bottom of the Repub ticket and that is Rubio and West. The Democrats will be very happy if it is not one of those two IMO.
