When did our collective IQ sink so low?

Taking a CCW into a Wal-Mart and injuring people when it goes off is OK, at least by some people. So is getting shot by some psycho when all you did was go to a movie. Even a place of worship is not safe in some cases. There is serious speculation about one presidential candidate's mental state. While the elite steal us blind, the rest of us squabble about chicken sandwiches and take our cues about what is acceptable behavior from watching reality TV. We've got an entire generation of young people whose lives will be stunted by crippling student loan debt because they believed well-meaning parents who told them going to college would prepare them for a future. All they really got was the aforementioned debt and their jobs shipped overseas because employers want cheap labor. Flipping burgers -- yeah, that's a future all right. I don't even want to think about what shape this country will be in by the time the baby I just saw on the bus sleepiing in its mother's lap grows up.

1. Well, I know that republicans are certainly devolving.
They hold even tighter to their completely debunked beliefs, don't understand a thing about logical reasoning, and believe whatever Hannity and O'Lielly tell them.
When have our beliefs ever been debunked?

2. I think it started while I was in school. I see the dumbing down
of our society to this day. I see what my nieces and nephews are reading and it scares me.
I got my 11 year old niece Harry Potter for Christmas and she couldn't get through the first Paragraph BUT she is on the Honor Roll at school and the teacher says she is one of the smartest in her class.
I see reason and logic not being taught and I'm sicken by it.
And which party controls education? It wasn't the repukes who decided that putting a rubber on a piece of fruit and self esteem was more important than an actual education.

13. I think it's that Reagan made being an ignorant dick socially acceptable.
They have all ways existed, but before 1980 people that openly exposed their ignorance were shamed.
If any president is an ignorant dick it is 0bama. Oops I called a black man ignorant which is one of the definitions of the N word. :-)

9. Well--
I don't know of anyone who thinks it's OK for a psycho to shoot up a movie theater, a church/temple, or a Wal-Mart. Do you? Really?

11. There are some who . . .
seem to think that these sorts of things cannot be prevented -- tragic, but less important than the right to carry around a dangerous inanimate object. That this country is awash in guns is okay with them, it seems. My brother and my brother-in-law have shotguns and rifles for deer hunting, but don't feel the need to own an arsenal.
Well guns are banned in the theater where Batman was showing. That gun ban worked really well didn't it?

Riddle me this, batturd....
How can an INanimate object be "dangerous"? It has no will. No conscience. It's just pieces of metal.
The danger lies in the ones who use them for nefarious purposes.

All they really got was the aforementioned debt and their jobs shipped overseas because employers want cheap labor.
Not many jobs call for Basket Weaving and Wymen's Studies degrees. Jobs are shipped overseas because unions and government regulations and taxes make it too expensive to manufacture anything but small trinkets here.
I recently got a catalogue in the mail from the local community college and they actually have a basket weaving course.
-
When Jimmy Carter nationalized the Department of Education and took control away from the states.
-
I have to think it was when the government started to put stupid people ahead of smart people which only happened under democrat party member control.

Post grad?

Post grad?
It was listed under Hobbies and Activities, so I doubt it was a credited course, but I still laughed when I saw it.

Most of those classes are revenue-generators for the school and don't offer college credit. My mom takes photography, clay modeling, and some other courses at the local community college occasionally.

When did your collective IQ get so low? That's an easy one DUmmy. That happened when Skinner and Earl opened DU for you moonbats to post.

Our educational greatness started sliding downhill when the Left decided to start blaming "poverty" for poor performance rather than the breakup of families and a general increase in the permissive nature of our society, all brought to us by the policies of that same group of Leftists. No amount of money in the world thrown at schools is going to reverse that.

I fixed it for them. I know they have a hard time doing things the right way. I mean with their 3rd grade education level and all.

There is serious speculation about one presidential candidate's mental state.
Yeah, no doubt about that.
One quite reasonably assumes the primitive's referring to the candidate who's the incumbent.

There's nothing wrong with going to college if you get a useful degree. But the smart ones will get a skill (plumber, electrician, etc..) that is needed for everyday living. That's who'll make the most money because those skills aren't being filled at the same rate as the people who are retiring. Everyone is pushing college and not a trade. Pretty soon all we're going to have are college educated burger flippers.

And yet, they're more than happy to turn around and tell us how they "educated" our workforce.

Which group is it that can't do a f'n thing without the nanny government to help them out? Now, which group wants the government out of the f'n way? You should know, you idiots rail about it all the time.
Now, tell me about that devolving thing again, you ignorant, incompetent jackass.

Your collective IQ's never got tested to See if that so called teacher or school was ever doing its job. No one is held accountable in school anymore and if anyone should dare do it then its either the Unions or the parents that wail and nash their teeth at the mere thought that any of you loons are asked to learn or to be taught. The teachers are partly to blame because they want classes of 20-30 kids and the unions and the school won't teach the ABC's but they will teach Jane and Janet how to make out. The parents are to be held accountable for everytime their dear child acts up and the first words out of mom and dads pie hole is that their angle couldn't possibly have defaced the school during recess . When personal responsibility and real education becomes the standards in schools then you might see things change to the way they should be. Otherwise you will see more "DUmmies" graduate from our schools.
