Police in Vermont in hot pursuit of a suspect were without wheels when their quarry, an irate farmer with a tractor, allegedly crushed nearly half the department's fleet of vehicles.
Orleans County police say 34-year-old Roger Pion, of Newport, Vt., drove a red tractor over seven vehicles in the parking lot of the county's Sheriff's Department Thursday afternoon, flattening their quest to apprehend the suspect.
Police inside the department's office were unaware of the destruction happening outside until they received a 911 call and heard a horn blaring outside, Chief Deputy Philip Brooks told the Burlington Free Press.
Them Duke boys got nothing on this guy.

Now Sparky, one has to be born and raised in this neck of the woods to understand the cantankerous older generation especially the Farmers.
Would not have surprised me if this old man had been singing Yankee Doodle Dandy at the top of his lungs---Ala James Cagney and waving Old Glory about.
Crusty old Farts that after years dealing with 20 different government agency's telling him what he could or could not plant, Lord help the farmers that rise milk cows. Never knowing day to day when some pencil pusher from the government will show up and shut down his whole operation.
So the farmer had pot on him, he is a Farmer and this natural grown plant is just another side to growing a crop in demand.
Would you approve to making the growing of Peanuts illegal as millions of kids have allergies to them ???? Some kids and adults die from eating something cooked in Peanut oil.
This poor old man most likely got some liquid courage in him and decided enough was enough of this BS, and decided to demonstrate in the only way against the government taking away his American rights to make a living.
Talk about Conservatives, these farmers up here that have had to fight for the right to use their own land as they wish for 30-40 years will finally snap in the most spectacular ways. They aim to do no harm to people in any way, just make a statement at their own risk.
No one said he was growing or using Pot, just had some on him. Could be he was bringing it to Grandmas house to help with her rheumatism.
