It's been weeks and weeks and weeks since I went to the cooking and baking forum.

NOTHING like home-grown tomatoes on a grilled cheese

Man I love summer

3. You betcha!

I like them with mayo slathered on the warm toasted bread after you take them off the griddle. There's nothing better.

4. Nothing like home grown tomatoes any which way!!!!.....

They are one of the best things about summer.

7. My sister just sent some more tomatoes

I swear I will be made of bread, cheese and tomatoes

14. My favorite...

A tomato sandwich--slices of tomato, mayo, and salt and pepper on some good bread. I also love a good caprese salad.

18. Well, except this one

Everyone in my family loves mayonnaise and I can't stand it, much less with tomatoes. I know you have intense fans, because nearly everyone in my family loves those. Bleh.

20. oh yea

I am sad because tomorrow will be the last of the tomatoes until we get to a farmer's market or I get some more from my sister

23. That's not a REAL grilled cheese sandwich.

A REAL grilled cheese sandwich (a la Mom) is: Wonder Bread, Velveeta, margarine (she never used butter). And only ever dunked in Heinz catsup.

You'll forgive me if I enjoy it in my memories only. I don't allow ANY of those items in my home.

I dunno.

I like grilled cheese sandwiches, and tomatoes in other sorts of sandwiches, but not in grilled cheese sandwiches.

It's kind of like dumping pickle relish on vanilla ice cream.

I don't think tomatoes are really that good for someone who has supposed GI issues. They also tell those with Crohn's disease to also limit dairy.

Personally I think pammy is FOS as usual.

I think she just misspelled a word when she originally mentioned her disease. I think the malady that she suffers from is Crone's Disease.

World English Dictionary
crone  (krəʊn)

Why?

Beats the heck out of me.  I like tomatoes and I like grilled cheese sandwiches, but I do not like the two combined.

I have all of these in my home.

But I use Kraft singles, dunked in ketchup, while eating a bowl of beef flavored ramen. Yes, I was poor.

I like a fresh picked 'mater slice on my grilled cheese sandwich.     I guess it's a cultural thing.

I grill BLT's in the summer too... and I put some provolone cheese on it too!!!   Heck for that matter, I put a 'mater slice on a biscuit, with some cheese, a ham slice, and some sausage.

Fresh 'maters rock!!!!

I don't think I would appreciate the joy of cheese on a BLT.  I guess I'm just a purist.

If Burger King is getting on the bacon bandwagon with a Bacon Sundae.
