On the cover, Mrs. Obama appears to be holding a smoothie and is accompanied by an adorable five-year-old named Jocelyn who is about to bite into a slice of an orange, with type that promises, “What the First Lady Wants You to Know.â€
So far, so good, but near the bottom right hand corner a headline contained in a pink arrow on Mrs. Obama’s green skirt reads “50 Shades of ‘No Way’ — Why you’re not getting any.†Inside, there is a poll of 2,400 parents and a crew of experts explaining why couples with children may have lost their romantic habits, once the pitter patter of little feet become part of the bedroom soundscape.
I think maybe her and her idiot husband should read the article in the lower left hand corner.... It would be nice NOT to hear so much B.S. from them.

Linda, you point out a fact that drives me nuts.
Our eating habits have not changed it is the life style that has changed. Kids do not burn off the carbohydrates they eat and keep moving. They are stuck inside on the TV. PC. and playing non active games.
Some kids come home from school eat supper and have 2-3 hours of homework. Then they watch TV for a few hours and go to bed.
We make it difficult for the kids to burn off energy and calories, all the games we played at recess are now to dangerous, tag and capture the hill, the kids that skate board are seldom chubby. But--that is dangerous so difficult to find a place to expend energy.
I cannot remember the last time I saw kids playing jump rope, hop scotch, hide and seek. Why would they think of that when they could be inside playing games on the PC ?
I am sure Old Moo means well, she had to as first lady find something to champion and the over weight kids was a no brainier. Instead of looking for reasons she hit on diet. She did not encourage the inner city's to build places the kids could go to to release their energy, to hop, skip and yell their lungs out, encourage the kids to dance, climb ropes and keep moving.
All that energy bottled up and little outlet. No challenges physically, no strength training or even to stretching classes. Is it a wonder that the boys join gangs to get exercise and excitement of stealing a car or running from the Cops ???
In order to train kids we need to look at our military boot camps, keep the people active for hours a day, feed them all they wish to eat and teach them for a few hours a day. Push the kids beyond what they believe they are capable of, keep heaping praise when they go beyond what they believed they were capable of.
Strange that kids 18-20 who are lazy over weight kids come out of boot camp healthiest and in the best shape in their lives and have been fed 3 big meals a day that was huge.
Moo does not realise that a kid fed only rice and beans will gain weight if they are carried every where on the back of another.

Most posts do.

Now now, vesta is coming along quite nicely. A little gentle nudge here and there is all that is called for.

So much so there are footprints on her scalp.
Don't worry, pretty much everything does.
