Military Checkpoints While Driving in Mexico
While driving in Mexico you will need to stop at military inspection checkpoints
Perhaps one of the most intimidating experiences for the first time road traveler to Mexico are the encounters with military checkpoints along the Mexican highways. In an effort to control drug trafficking and other illegal activities, the Mexican government has installed a number of military checkpoints along many of the major highways throughout Mexico. In Baja alone, there are about a half-dozen military checkpoints between Tijuana and Cabo San Lucas.
What to expect:
When approaching a military checkpoint, you will see a handful of young men (often under the age of 20) dressed in green military uniforms and armed with automatic rifles. There will usually be some sort of building structure, but the military folks will usually be standing on both sides of the road waiting for you.
---
If they do request to inspect your vehicle, just politely step out of your vehicle and let them do their job. A typical inspection usually involves opening the glove compartment, checking under the seats, popping the trunk, and perhaps inspecting the contents of one or two of your travel bags.
NOTE: The possession of any type of firearm in Mexico is illegal. US and Canadian citizens have been thrown in jail for possession of just one single bullet. If you own any firearms, you should check your vehicle prior to entering Mexico to make sure your vehicle is completely free of any materials associated with firearms
In order to control firearms and crime, the US could set up checkpoints at every road that crosses a state border, and on every road that leads to a major city.
What do you think about doing something like this in the US?

I think if you enjoy that sort of thing, you should take your stupid ass to Mexico and keep it there.
Bet my lunch money that Zorra is a gringo.

Apparently it's not helping Mexico much with the crap that's going on down there. I wonder if this idiot has actually been somewhere they do military checkpoints or in typical DUmmie style it's normally something they seen or heard aboout. I can hear then squealing now, about racial profiling, unlawful search and seizure. And then there is that pesky little 4th Amendment issue. Who knows with DUmmies, it's all how it fits into their warped brain cavity.

They bitched until they got TSA. Then they bitched about having TSA. I'm sure they would love to have the military looking for their automobile drug stash.

Since when? I bet if you do a web search for hunting in Mexico all sorts of sites will pop up.

Funny how nads is so silent on all of this. After all, isn't Mexico so much better than America?

3. I will add one between Chilpancingo and Acapulco
At that time it was part of the AG inspection for citrus.

Having been stopped by the Italian Carabinieri while riding in the back seat of a car with my friends I can say that getting stopped was the last thing we wanted and two because the driver was a FNG we all came real close to either getting arrested or shot. Not something you want to experience if you can avoid it. I can understand the FNGs point but we were not in the US and they had us surrounded and armed with 9mm submachine guns, They were not in the mood to play.

Why is it after accusing the right of wanting a police state, its the left that actually implements one.
If this guy didn't have 16,000+ posts I would call him a mole. But only a lefty fanatic could clock that many in the DU cesspool.
Does Zorra have any clue how he sounds?

Mexico's climate supports copious amounts of hail.

Aww, hear that? When you hear that sound, it means that somewhere in Dictator Afterlife, a little MVD or SD officer just got his wings!
O-)

We have Border Patrol checkpoints.
They do the best job they can with what they have to work with.

Fewer now. Naps and Holder want new office furniture, so the funds aren't available to continue supporting the posts we have now.
