A Terrifying Warning Against Islamic Extremism

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is certainly no American-style conservative. However, he recently offered a terrifying assessment of the threat Islamic extremism poses to Western civilization that is worth sharing with the ConservativeHQ.com audience.
In an interview with writer Charles Moore, Lady Margaret Thatcher’s authorized biographer, in the British newspaper TheTelegraph, Blair said that after September 11, 2001, he underestimated the power of the bad “narrative†of Islamist extremists. That narrative is that ''The West oppresses Islam,†and far from being rebutted by the West in the decade since 9/11, “If anything, it has grown.â€
Without directly criticizing President Obama, Blair seems to doubt the effectiveness of Obama’s outreach to Islam, because it tends to deal with the wrong people. Since Obama’s Cairo speech in 2009, ''the whole context has changed,†said former Prime Minister Blair.
Blair noted that the Muslim Brotherhood is taking over large parts of the Arab world, and, ''the people without the loudest voices are desperate for our leadership.â€

But the black man, who didn't get kept down by the white man, is partly a white man as well as a black man. In turn, some say he's a Muslim man, who hates the white man, who keeps down the black man, except for the half-black half-white man.

I tend to think he'll be regarded as slightly less important to the world scene than Margaret Thatcher and Winston Churchill, myself. Almost as highly, but not quite.

Them two would be pretty hard to top. But I do see Tony Blair being up there.
For being left of center , he was an invaluable ally to President Bush.
Which is why I have a lot of respect for him. He stood by us when we were attacked and showed us what a true ally, and friend, can be.
