New in the sense that she was watching tv and this is the first time she's ever heard that:

Yup...

Just heard this on Current.

But reality is...people who love sports and fanatically follow LeBron James, nothing wrong with that...don't know jack of what goes on in the country and affects their lives.

This is not everybody, not by far...but we have all met friends or relatives, or both...who can regale you with stats...ask them about the ACA...go ahead...you know this and I know this. This is a perfect description.

(On tv...tell me when was the last time you heard this from a talking head? Quite frankly don't remember)

71. That's why it caught my attention

Mind you, that was Current, so it almost be like it was never said due to actual reach.

I don't know why nads keeps posting. she gets beat up with every inane post.

She has got to be mentally ill. Bad attention is better than no attention. She seems to thrive on the abuse.
Just another example of why the DUmp is the DUmp.

Jesus that wasn't news even when the Romans were tossing Christians into the pits in the Colosseum. She must wake up every morning and think someone changes the big light bulb in the sky overnight.

Maybe she likes the attention. No matter how negative it is.

Dear History professor,

Sports have always been a distraction.

She'll break the news on Friday that water will get you wet.

On the contrary, observing professional sports has been quite enlightening for me.

For example, being a fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets has given me a clear picture on what it means to be a spectacular failure, like certain politicians ***ahem***.

Actually I enjoy the Olympics every time it comes around. I have an appreciation (coming within a hairs breadth of going to the Atlanta games myself) for all the hard work and sacrifice that it took just to get there. Something a primitive could never understand.

Also the games have always been peaceful with the tragic exception in 1972 and we all know who was responsible for that.

As I recall it was Marx that said "religion is the opiate of the masses".

Current is still on the air? Wow...now I know of one of the 5 people who watch it.

I laughed when the Green Planet channel went from showing eco-friendly shows to becoming "Destination America" with shows like "The United States of Bacon".

Dirty hippies.

Another good thing about bacon, it wards off  :mo: like garlic to Dracula.   :lmao:

Speaking of dirty hippies, is "Whale Wars" still on?

I think it is. My family's banned from watching it, though. I have some say so.

He did, but now I think that entertainment is the opiate of the masses.

She has almost everyone but her devout followers like FWWM, and Sabrina1 on that infamous Iggy list. Don't know how she can actually like the negative attention when she doesn't see it.

Although, I would assume she peobably looks at the posts anyway. Can't resist. I don't put anyone on ignore. It's too distracting.

For the love of God, why? Those seagoing hippies are lucky they aren't chum yet. I'm just waiting for the day all that concentrated stupid catches up with them and they all either drown or freeze.
