Stinky The Clown (46,747 posts)

A movie plot doesn't make one crazy. A costume is not the mark of a mass murderer.
The lack of access to health care - including mental health care - IS an issue. But here in We're Number One America, we aren't talking about that, except to demonize the guy who has made an attempt to fix the problem (not a big enough attempt for me, but that's for another time). We're making fun of his health care plan, with half the country calling for its repeal.

Meantime, we're banning costumes at theaters after a man who is clearly not normal shot at people in costumes while watching a movie about a crazy man shooting people. We will also be required to submit to bag searches to be let into movies showing any title, not just Batman at midnight. I guess, you know, it happened, and you know, it could, you know, happen again.

Yessirree, we're square on top of it, we are.

The man who did the shooting this time had a .43 cal Glock, an S&W .223 assault rifle, a 12 ga. shotgun, and another.43 Glock. He also had more than 6,000 rounds. In buckets. They list this list. Everyone wants the list. I will bet anything that sales of those guns will go up for a time, like Bushmaster sales went up after an earlier not normal person and his not normal teenage companion shot up the DC area a few years back.

A man known to be a loner, known to have social issues, known to be despondent at being highly educated and unemployed, highly educated and working at McDonalds, highly educated and dropping out of grad school due to poor grades, is not a normal man. When such a man amasses an arsenal, it underscores his not being normal.

When such a man orders body armor over the internet and has it delivered by priority, we all need to worry.

But, of course, it wasn't the guns that did the killing. It was the man who used the guns inappropriately who did the killing.

Is that right?

Had he taken a gun safety course, we'd be cool today, right?

A background check would have . . . . wait . . . . it would have turned up nothing. In this case, one parking (speeding??) ticket.

So those seem to be the essential ingredients here.

A man who is not normal

A man who is not normal going untreated

A man who has free access to guns.

A man who was able to buy a shitload of body armor by expedited delivery and raising no red flags in so doing

And our reaction is to pull the more violent trailers of the movie that was playing when his bullets hit over fifty moviegoers, killing a dozen of them.

Our reaction is to ban costumes at movie theaters.

Our reaction to increase "theater security" and subject all patrons to a bag check. (How long until the surplus, well used TSA magnetometers find their way here???)

Our reaction is to call for new laws.

The result will be another demonstration of the strength of the NRA.

We're Number One.

In gun ownership. We own more guns than there are people.

This is one issue where I side with Michael Bloomberg: Mr. Obama and Mr. Rmoney, as you ask for my vote, please talk about guns and what YOU intend to do about them.

I gotta get me a couple of those .43 cal Glocks, before they all sell out. A couple buckets of ammo, too. I'll display them with pride, next to my DC Sniper commemorative Bushmaster!

According to that gem of a photograph the sparkling old dude posted on Skins's island some years ago, and which remains safe in my private photograph album (both on the internet and in a real-life album), saved for posterity, it's the wrong color for him.

You have to love the way the "Internets Laughingstock" is not afraid to keep proving he is the "Internets Laughingstock." A common trait found in Ignoramous DUmmytous.

One question for the "Internets Laughingstock." Why are you not upset over what happens every Saturday night in 0bama's hometown of Chicago? Do you not care because you hate black kids? Is it because you have to support the worst president in our nation's history and 10-20 black kids dying every Saturday is just the price you are willing to pay to keep the dream of socialism alive?

In short, why does a super caring DUchebag so indifferent about black kids being murdered?

Stinky dude, you can't be serial. A Glock .43 huh? you mean a new round has been developed and somehow I missed it. The one that really cracks me up is the shipping priority on the body armor. Clearly armor that is delivered priority is more dangerous than armor delivered the regular way....and stinky, I read he ordered his ammo online, I wonder how it was delivered because it really changes things. Me thinks that the stink master was either baked or drunk when he posted this because nobody is that stupid. :mental:

So a guy in a Ph D program is too poor for mental health care, huh?

Damn that Obama drove up costs.

Still, he apparently could afford a shit-ton of gear.  Yet another argument for the Communist DUmmies against the free market, I suppose.

You know, the primitives are idiots.

If guns were banned, it'd have the same effect as back when alcohol was banned.

We all know how well that worked.

And I'd guess the natural instinct to have something available for self-defense is at least as strong as the natural instinct to imbibe.  At least.

Notice, please, how the primitive side-step the core causes of things such as what happened here; the breakdown in family values, a lack of respect for God and religion and the sanctity of human life, the old hippie admonishment that "if it feels good, do it," the general level of political and pecuniary corruption in blue cities and blue states, a popular media that is "against" goodness and decency, and a president whose rhetoric is LOADED with incendiary, inflammatory, hate-filled, divisive, violence-encouraging language.

Hey Stinkbait. Britain has banned handgun ownership and they are having the highest handgun crime rate in their history. So tell me how banning handguns or any guns helps stop crime and not make a market for gunrunners? .43 cal Glock , If brains were made of leather you couldn't saddle a flea.

Uh huh.

Just like after we banned alcohol a few years ago.

You know, I'm not a gun person; it's not my temperament or style.

I prefer face-to-face hand-to-hand business, breaking limbs with my trusty S/K adjustable wrench.

But if guns were banned, I'd look around for a 21st-century Joseph Kennedy wannabe, to get me one, preferably one of those .43 Glocks or, as Pedro Picasso called it, one of those "long guns."

Someone let me know when they find one.

I think mandatory mental health screenings are way overdue.  Anyone that votes for a DemonRat should be locked up and evaluated until they are proven not to be a danger to themselves and society.

Of course that will mean keeping them locked up until they are trained to vote for conservatives, which might be a very long, long time.

Hey wait a minute why would anyone need a .43 cal Glock when all you really need is a .22LR . Some DUmmie said so years ago when giving advice on what kind of gun to buy. :lmao:

Stinky the Dude would probably end up being the first guy to accidentally kill himself, looking down the barrel of a paintball gun.

Or shooting himself in the foot at a bar.

That's okay if he does. Nads, the super medic and expert on everything, could patch him up with moss, spit, and supernatural chanting.

Speaking of morons shooting themselves in the foot......

When's the next chapter?

From what I heard (so far) no one really knows what his particular social issues are. I've known plenty of young guys that aren't terribly social and play video games most of the time. Most aren't particularly friendly either, but they wouldn't do something like this. I don't know how stinky can make this kind of arm chair diagnosis when we have so little information. And how the hell would he know whether the kid had health insurance or not? The problem with mental health issues is that you can't force an adult to get treatment even if you know they've changed suddenly, until the harm themselves or someone else. Leave it to a DUmmie to make this all about 0bama, socialized medicine and their keen knowledge of the human condition...without the slightest thread of evidence.

Oh, and stinky, there isn't a college in the whole damn country that doesn't offer some kind of free counseling (not just career planning but real emotional counseling). Those counselors have resources, at least to outpatient resources. Hell I even had it in HS and that was in the 70's. Not every situation is a reason for you jackasses to get on your soapbox and lecture everyone else about how things should be in your perfect world. Sometimes it's better to shut the **** up, let the shock wear off and give people a chance to deal with grief and the rest of the country a chance to grieve. You leftists are the only people on the planet who always manage to politicize every single tragedy. Some family members are still just learning their loved ones died. But there you are, pretending you're the expert on every ****ing thing that happens. Stupid arrogant bitch!

Anyone know where I can get a .43 GlocK? Or maybe I can just get a .223 and an AR15 for sheer stopping power!

No, but I did put sandbags around the house and I have an old steel pot in a footlocker, somewhere around here.
