Found on a consertivs forum..........
I'll not trouble you with the rest of the vitriol, the OP was about renaming childrens books in the Obama era.
When I read this post I couldn't stop laughing.
I read 2 books in my life.
One that fits Obama regime very well.
"Animal Farm"
read it in government class in HS.
For those who never heard of it, it was how communists (or the barnyard dogs) kept everyone in order. Animals (donkey, horse, chicken, etc) had a nice farm until the communists got control and destroyed everything, put animals in jail and on and on.
Two whole books. Man you outdid you're self.
::)

Hmmm. No link. Amazing coincidence.

The only thread I know of on here is this one (http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,75527.0.html).
It lists some kids books by Obama from Twitter.

I banged the interwebz to see if I could locate the source, and it seems the only place I can find the alleged quote by wandy is either here or on DU.

LOL. I'm smarter than you're.

The only place I can locate that quote is at DU, it doesn't show up on any conservative board at all.

Orwell was from a communist regime and wrote three very telling books; Animal Farm, 1984, and Brave New World. He was NOT a fan of teh communism. He would not be a fan of Teh Won.

Guess you missed basic grammar skills in elementary school.

Didn't Huxley write "Brave New World?"

Grammar AND spelling.
Makes you wonder what else it missed in school.
Stems from coming to kindergarten stoned, and staying that way for the next 22 years, when he graduated "high" school. :lmao:

Public school scares me. I swear, it was semi-normal when I was there and I'm not that old.

When my 4-year old niece says "consertivs" for conservatives she sounds darling.
When a DUmpmonkey says it like that it sounds...well, DUmpmonkey-ish.

I've probably been out of school longer than you've been alive. 35 years. (Class of '77).
That was when we actually LEARNED something in school (besides globull warming, green energy, and LGBT lifestudies), and were allowed to use power tools in shop class! :-) (But not on each other) :(

Oddly enough Orwell was a socialist. Or that is what the biography blurb on my copy of 1984 says anyway. :-)

Yes you have. We said the Pledge of Allegiance in elementary and middle school... daily. In high school, it was only during pep rallies or school sporting events. From what I understand today, if you say the Pledge of Allegiance in a public school, you will get sued.

I haven't read it in 30 years, but I believe you're correct.

Orwell was, indeed, an avowed Socialist. Very conflicted about it. By all accounts though, he was an ardent anti-communist. He was clear headed enough to understand Communism, but couldn't equate the two, as is always practiced. The best way I can describe him is Utopian, who suffered from the same dilutions that many academics suffer. I think if you took Orwell and plopped him down in the US today, he would have a bit different of a take on Socialism.
Brave New World = Aldous Huxley.
