I was just talking to the person who runs the Ron Paul facebook page and they were telling me that he might to be running as an independent, if Mitt doesn't choose him as a VP!!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!!!???????
God I hate that old fart. The dude also gave me the same delegate count website that Ben gave, and tried to tell me that Ron Paul has the delegates to be on the ticket, and Mitt may be forced to choose him as a VP!
I seriously believe the Ron Paul supporters are smoking crack!!
-
I dont think there is any way Ron Paul would run as an independent because it would destroy Rand's future. As for Ron Paul's delegates they mean nothing, they cant vote for Ron Paul because he didnt win 5 states.
-
Exactly Big Tex, the Republican Party will strong-arm Paul into not running, you want your son to be on a particular committee? don't run.

More Paulite bully tactics. I'll believe it when Ronny says it himself. Like someone already said, Rand would not appreciate Daddy pulling that crap.

Ron Paul’s delegate insurgency has come to an end.
Supporters of the libertarian GOP presidential candidate fell short at the Nebraska GOP convention, where they had hoped to out-organize Mitt Romney’s delegates and push Paul over a critical threshold that would have ensured him an official presence and speaking slot at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., in August.
As the last state where Republicans will hold a convention in which delegates are up for grabs, Nebraska represented the last chance for Paul’s supporters.
Instead, Nebraska Republicans elected a slate of Mitt Romney delegates to represent the state in Tampa. Paul’s supporters won only two of Nebraska’s 35 national delegates, according to Laura Ebke, who leads the Nebraska chapter of the Republican Liberty Caucus and who has led Paul supporters’ effort to win delegates in the state.
Along with delegates from Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, and Minnesota, Nebraska could have given Paul the support of a plurality of delegates in five states; according to Republican National Committee rules, Paul would have been officially eligible as a candidate for the nomination at the Tampa convention. Organizers would be required to grant Paul’s faction up to 15 minutes for a nominating speech.

With how stupid Ron Paul is, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he does run as an independent. The stupid old fart is going to ruin any chance of obama being kicked out! :banghead:
This is what the Paulbot just said. After I told him that a vote for Paul is a vote for obama. and that I do not want to be in a socialist state.
were a socialist state right now. LOL...Ill tell you what. You worry about who you vote and dont worry about what I do. I could write a book about why I would vote for Ron Paul and people who have no principles, no values no convictions you know what they say??? "A VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT MITT IS A VOTE FOR OBAMA!!" Are the same people who ditched their convictions along with their original candidate so that they feel relevant.
your election will come and go, our revolution will continue on. No election outcome will change that. You support THE MAN we in the liberty movement dont need a leader to follow. We support the movement inspired by Ron Paul and not him primarily. Only 3% of the colonists believed the revolution was necessary and the changed the course of history forever.
In 1920 Warren Harding walking into the RNC with only 6% of the delegates and walked out the nominee for president and went on to win the presidency[/i]

Which didn't turn out to be a good thing, as events played out.

Not to mention the whole style of politics was different back then, everyone was openly corrupt and everything was run by political machines. I like how every Paulbots political ideas literally involve using a time machine to go back to a time when "things were better"
-
There is no way he will get the nomination. I can also guarantee that if he isn't selected as the VP they will try to sue for that! What a bunch of douchebags!
-
I seriously doubt he will run.Even if he did he would probably cost Obuma as many votes as Romney considering how many young voters support him. And many liberals like his foreign policy.
-
Dr. Nutz's 15 minutes of fame was up 20 minutes ago. Only he and his cult followers don't know that yet.
-
I can only hope that Ron Paul is done. He will however, be at the convention, and he will be speaking. Maybe we will luck out and they won't show that. This is not a in the bag nomination for Romney. Even though everyone is making it out to be, Ron Paul could still get it. God help us. I know one thing, if he does get it, I am writing myself in this year - as I will not vote for him or obama.

I just hope he sticks to that promise.

Ron Paul is like a gnat. He just keeps flying around your head and no matter how much swatting you do, he doesn't leave... He needs to leave already.

Dr. Nutz is, after all, 76 years old.
Remember that photo from about a year ago where he was standing in line in a grocery store? The dude looked like he was ready to check out apart from paying for his Metamucil. The sumbitch is so old he farts dust.

You are letting the Paulbots get to your head. Paul cant win the nomination and he is not guaranteed to speak at the convention.
About RP's role in the convention:
says a senior Paul adviser, “is totally to be decided by Mitt Romney.”
http://swampland.time.com/2012/07/17/ron-pauls-role-at-the-republican-convention-now-in-romneys-hands/
and to be on the ballot you have to win 5 states Paul won 3 possibly a 4th but definitely not 5
After threatening for months to cause trouble for Mitt Romney at the Republican National Convention, Ron Paul on Saturday came up short in his attempt to win a majority of GOP state convention delegates in Nebraska, marking an effective end to the candidate's prolonged, long-shot bid for the presidency....
...As of now, Paul has a majority of delegates in only three states: Iowa, Maine and Minnesota. Some have cited Louisiana as a fourth delegate victory for the Paul campaign, but the Louisiana Republican Party tells CBS News their delegate allocation is currently in dispute.
Even if he ends up victorious in Louisiana, Nebraska marked Paul's last real opportunity to win delegates in a fifth state and get his name on the ballot this August.

I showed that Paulbot that link from Fox. He said that they are lying! hahaha
This is what he said ...
Fox News lies. Ben Swann personally called up the RNC and asked them if Ron Paul has enough states won to be nominated and they confirmed YES 6 states.
When Ron Paul announced he was no longer going to campaign in primary states that already voted but to concentrate on caucus states to gain delegates, Fox News goes on air and throws a parade RON PAUL DROPS OUT RON PAUL DROPS OUT!! ROMNEY IS OUR PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE!!! WHO WILL ROMNEY PICK FOR VP???? Keep your eyes and airs open during the RNC Convention
I am starting to think that he is smoking crack!

This is the bio that Daily Paul has about him:
High school graduate at age 11 (Homeschool)
College degree (Liberal Arts) from BYU at age 15
Master's (History) from California State at age 16.
Originally wanted to become a minister and has already been an assistant pastor and youth minister at a Presbyterian Church in Portland

I don't believe any of that fluff in his bio. Who is he? Doogie Howser?

There's a runoff at the end of the month between Felicia Harris and Randy Weber. No mention of Ron Paul, thank God.

He could still run for congress as an independent but he wouldn't win, he's only in office because of the R next to his name

When I catch The Five, they elicit the same reaction from me. Kimberly Guilfoyle for sure.

Correct. And judging by the looks of most of the Paul voters I ran into in 2008 (when canvassing for McCain) most of the hardcore Paulistas are either not going to vote or vote for Obama.
Look at the Gallup polls on how Paul supporters identify themselves politically. Very conservative was the SMALLEST group, very liberal was the largest by far.

I wish they would. But that isn't going to happen with all of them. They pretty much said that they will not vote for Romney. So they will be either writing Ron Paul in, or voting for Obama.

Oh, a good number of them have already returned there.
"Oh, momma! Could you get me some more marshmallows for my cocoa?? Oh, no! The big dummie did not know the answer was, 'Ipswich clams!'"

From what I know about home schooling (not much, but family friends swear by the practice), there isn't much regulation at the state and local levels on it -- which is good when you're of a conservative bent and you don't need your hand to be held by the fed, state, and local whackjobs that think they know more about your kids than you do.
So accelerating through a home schooling program is definitely doable and achievable. It's strictly on the parent/tutor and the student as to how quickly they can get through the information.
I dunno about the Doogie Howser thing. I always thought he was the original metrosexual whose 'nads hadn't yet dropped.

There are a couple of parents at my church who home school their kids. I am going to ask them about what they think about it. I just find it hard to believe that someone can graduate high school at 11 and college at 15, unless they are absolute geniuses. And if that was one, he sure as hell wouldn't be a news anchor.

GOP makes room for Rep. Ron Paul at Tampa convention
Ron Paul supporters have feuded with state Republican parties across the country, battling for delegate seats at the national convention, but the national party is welcoming Paul and his supporters to the event with open arms, even helping the Texas congressman organize his troops.
The Paul campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) have been working closely over the past few months to work out logistics in order to include the Texas congressman and his supporters in the August convention in Tampa.
"They've just treated us like a friend and like a coalition," said Jesse Benton, a spokesman for the Paul campaign. "They have been honest brokers in working with us and treated us with respect."
Paul will hold a rally with supporters Aug. 26 at the University of South Florida's Sun Dome — a venue convention planners helped him get.

I am hoping that it does. But Ron Supporters have already said that they will not be voting for Romney. So they will either vote for obama, or write Ron Paul in. Either way, it is lost vote for Romney.

I worked with the McCain campaign in 2008, doing canvassing, GOTV, stuff like that.
I ran into a bunch of people who registered Republican for the 2008 presidential primary simply so they could vote for Paul. Damn near every one of them was a tie-dyed, ear-gauged, neck tattooed, screaming liberal hippie who never had any intention of voting for the GOP candidate in the general.
And so it is again.

There isn't. But they have this pack mentality...it's like they wait and hover just beyond the line of sight...waiting to hear someone speak ill of Dr. Nutz...then they infest and attack.
In 2004 and 2008 they were particularly obnoxious...lurked at a couple of sights and you could see where they were planning how to swarm this or that talk shows phone lines to talk about Ron Paul.
I remember reading the thread too at RP.com where they had a call to arms to invade our old home too. :argh:

Because the young are dumb in most cases. Us older libertarians are not hung up on Ron Paul. Dont throw us under the bus with the kids :) I dont hang with any of the young ones, so I guess thats why most libertarians i know are voting Romney. Yes were holding our noses but anything is better than 4 more years of Obuma. Even Ron Paul lol.

I am pissing off the Ron Paul supporters big time today. Alex Jones said that the Aurora shooting was an government inside job, and Ron Paul said that we are to blame for 9/11. I told them both Alex Jones and Ron Paul are whack jobs; and Infowars is a nutcase site. One of my Paulbot friends got really hot under the collar over that one, as she lives by infowars and Alex Jones :rotf:
They are still insisting that Dr. Nuts has the delegates to win the nomination. I told them that if he gets nominated, I will be voting for obama :lmao:
They are on a tear today :-)

Only when someone comes in and goes..."oh yeah..let me see the doccument"...do they realize their fairy tales don't play out well in the real world.

His 'Proof' is some youtube video from a CIA agent who is endorsing Ron Paul. He hasn't showed me an actual document from them stating that Ron Paul is correct. Pretty much everyone knows that Ron Paul is a whack job.
