2. I very much doubt it. Wait and see. This will not be good.
I hate to say it, but there is a lot of corruption in my city. My city pretty much has no republican politicians.

6. Yeah, I doubt it will be Rahm this time, but he already seems dirtier than Daley was.
And that's saying a lot. Between the whole deal with the Infrastructure Trust Ordinance that has little, if any, accountability and the deal by his biggest supporter to flood the city with speed cameras, we're off to one hell of a start. Then, of course, there's his constant effort to destroy CPS in favor of charter schools which don't perform any better, and close down the schools of those who need help the most. I knew he was going to SUCK, and want him out already.

3. Shocker...surely this isn't happening in Chi-Town..
Home of Obama? I wonder if any of them have ties to Obama?

Darn pretty sure there aren't 7 Republicans total in the windy city.

Of course. It's like Kevin Bacon and 'Six Degrees of Separation'. Il DUche is an indispensable cog in the Chicago corruption machine. Hence the reason that Rezko and Blago had to fall on their swords, rather than potentially incriminate the Holy WON of Chicago.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you to hear of corruption in Chicago.

I will lay ten to one that they are affiliated with Obama, Holder, and Rahm.

No bet. Not even at 100 to 1 odds.

People would be fool to take the bet. We all already know they are affiliated with them.

...So, How long until this is a 'distraction to get Bain off of the front page by Romney' as far as DU is concerned.

Too late!! They are already bitching about Rush & the "Pugs". Apparently it involves kickbacks to HHS officials. Jucy :fuelfire:

It looks like Jesse Jackson Jr's district is just outside Chicago but maybe he has been ratting out his fellow rats in the Big Sleazy?

He is under investigation. So it is quite possible that he is dropping some names.

4. Update:
Seven people in the Chicago area have been arrested on charges of bribery conspiracy for paying kickbacks to a federal agency official who did not actually exist in return for awarding purported $25,000 cash grants from the agency, federal officials said today.
Dean Nichols, 62, of Oak Park, was charged with three counts of bribery conspiracy, and Elliott Kozel, 51, Chicago, was charged with four counts. Reggi Hopkins, 43, of Chicago; Anthony Johnson, 59, of Chicago; Mary Smith, 54, of South Holland; Regi na Hollie, 48, of Chicago; and Bryant Jessup, 51, of Chicago, were each charged with one count of bribery conspiracy, according to a press release.

I'm guessing they are all dems. Wait and see. I'm sure this is going to be big national news.
No, they can't be dems, only repukes ever commit crimes. They must have been framed by the huge GOP machine in Chicago. :-)

Only seven?

They may take it that way, but I look at it as a purely-cosmetic attempt to make the current city administration look like reformers for November election, after which the investigation will wander off and slowly get lost like a river flowing into the desert. The guys charged will prove to have been low-level crooks who were caught running their own little scam instead of the bigtime crooks running the city's budget and contracting systems.

I know, I know. I had to make sure it was the actual Chicago, Ill before I would believe it. I mean, Chicago is such a paragon of political virtue that the insinuation that anyone there would be corrupt is a real stretch.
