Obama - 'If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen'Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/watercooler/2012/jul/15/picketvideo-obama-if-youve-got-business-you-didnt-/)
There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me -- because they want to give something back. If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. (Applause.)
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.

They know they didn’t -- look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I hate him and hope something happens to him, really.
I hate him and hope something happens to him, really.
I just hope the economy he has created finally affects him and puts him in the unemployment line.
.......waiting on the mainstream media to get a comment from his buddies like Warren Buffett about this statement. (crickets chirping)
:censored: :censored:
How the hell can Obama say stupid crap like that and NOT be behind 20 points in the polls?
I'm starting to root for the Mayan calendar thing in December...
Take heart. I read a study somewhere that the Mayan Calender is much more accurate than U.S. polls.
Actually, the Mayan calendar is off by 450 days. They didn't have leap year at the time it written.
Like I said.

You can tell he's had an easy ride in life. That's generally how government tit suckers think.
I heard on the news last night that obama has been getting advice on how to run a business from GE! You know, the company that didn't pay any income tax in 2010, and has over half of it's employees in other countries!
Jack Welch, former CEO of GE, is pissed at the current CEO, Immelt, who has has ran this company into the ground. Between him and Buffett advising the President on the economy, we are screwed.
Isn't that the truth. Neither one of them know what they are doing.
ha ha ha ha...
I hate him and hope something happens to him, really.

Just Obama trying to fire up his base, nothing more. He can't seriously believe that he is going to win over business owners with this argument...
...can he?
And there's already a website to memorialize this toolishness:
You Didn't Build That (http://didntbuildthat.com/)

ha ha ha ha...
With my Business, I don't ride on the roads, I don't ride in a car to commute, I don't buy gas to put in my car, I don't even have to leave the house. I just sit at my computer and work. I wonder he would say about that?
You have help from Al Gore.

Well, as someone who was in business for well over 30 years, I want to know where that bastard assigned to help me has been... :argh: :hammer: :rant:

You might want to rethink that request. The govt. is full of bastards that want to "help" you.
Oh, I was fighting those all the time, I want the one that was supposed to actually "help" me.....IOW, get his hands dirty, do some actual work.
Oh, that guy, He's busy right now.
Not even God built that:
I perused the DUmp for what they had to say. There was nothing entertaining enough to craft a thread for the DUmpster, though. They would nervously start with something like "I have a facebook friend who posted this rant" followed by the rant of a small businessperson. "How should I respond?"
And they all come back, just like the talking point heads on TV, screaming "ROADS AND BRIDGES! ROADS AND BRIDGES!!!"
They do recognize it's gaining traction.
The sad part is that liberal business owners are still going to vote for the asshole.
