It looks like he reported truthfully to the SEC, that he was CEO of Bain until 2002.
But then he lied to the public that he did not work for Bain at all after 1999, because it was unseemly as a candidate.

Do I have that correct? He's definitely a liar, but how is it a felony?

And this is what they are going with today...

1. Lying to the public is not a felony

He also lied on his financial disclosure forms, but I doubt that's a felony. It may not even be a crime.

The Obama campaign spokesperson said something like, "he's lying when he said he stopped working at Bain after 1999 because otherwise he lied on the SEC forms." The reporter said something like, "but that would be a felony." The spokesperson agreed.

Now, Romney is still insisting that he didn't work for Bain after 1999, which means, in effect, that he is insisting the information he gave to the SEC was a lie.

Of course the SEC forms are right and the lie is what Mitt is saying now. But Democrats are right to push to make him admit it.

And the whole thread bobs its head up and down in agreement. Mitt is no longer a felon, toast, legs, frogmarched, etc... because he didn't lie at all then - but apparently he is lying to the public now. Not a felony, but embarrassing..   :whatever:

All that money spent on advertisements by team Obama to 'expose' Bain was apparently an 11th dimensional Vulcan-Chess ruse to get Romney to lie about old -yet truthful- paperwork in defense..  Got it.

Why don't you just admit it primitives ? You want Romney to show his "long-form" tax returns, so you can tell everyone about how wealthy he is, and expose the grand conspiracy behind it. You all made fun of the 'Birthers' - but it turns out the source of the birther movement was Obama himself, lying about his origins to sell books. Romney hasn't lied about his cash to anyone.

The fact that they don't understand the distinction between management and ownership is a great argument on why they should not be allowed to run the country.

The fact that they don't understand the distinction between ownership and management shows just how retarded they are -  And is also a great argument on why they shouldn't be allowed to vote as well.
