In Anchorage, it's the coldest July on record (so far)

I wish we could share some of this with you who are sweltering.

It's not in your head: The National Weather Service says that so far this is the coldest July on record in Anchorage.

The average temperature for the first 12 days of this month -- typically the warmest of the year -- was just 52.7 degrees.

That's more than a degree cooler than the second coldest first half of July, in 1956, when the average temperature was 53.8 degrees, said NWS meteorologist Bob Hopkins

On Thursday, it was actually warmer in Barrow (62 degrees) than Anchorage (54), according to NWS readings.

This comes after we had the most winter snowfall on record last season. I do believe something weird is going on with the climate.

But just last week when the Midwest had their "unbearable" heatwave, it was global warming.  Thanks for screwing up global warming, Alaska!

It's only 77 degrees in Las Vegas right now... in July... so I guess it's our fault too.

It's not just your fault, and Alaska's.. If you look at all of the crazed HOTTEST SUMMER ON RECORD GLOWBALL WARMING ERHMAGOD !!!, they seem to all forget whats going on below the equator.

One of the coldest winters on record in Australia, Antarctica has added more sea ice than the arctic circle has lost, etc etc...

Don't... lol  It's only temporary.  We had thunderstorms come through.  Our humidity is at 66%.  We go back to triple digit heat in a couple of days after the storms get past us.

Smells good out here after the rain.  I'm going to load up our backyard with as many flowers as possible so I can smell that lovely scent after every (rare) rainfall we get.

Hahaha. I won't hate you when that stuff happens then. I want your T-storms though. The farmers here DESPERATELY need them!

Just last week we heard that "nobody could deny global warming it's 100+ here in the summer".  Now we'll hear that one data point does not make a trend.

Up until maybe six weeks ago, it was unseasonably cold in Massachusetts. Not a peep from the Glow-ball Warmingists. Now they are running around like their hair is on fire.

That's why the environazis and their tools (Like the otherwise-generally-Luddite DUmmies) don't call it 'Global Warming' anymore, they call it 'Anthropogenic ('Man-made') Global Climate Change,' so any variation from the mean in any direction will support their theory.  Although transparently-bogus logic, it seems to pass muster sufficiently in their own humanity-hating and drug-damaged brain circuitry to support their quasi-religious belief system on this point.

We here in the Capitol District of NY just had a brief thunderstorm come through.  Oh well, at least I don't have to water my garden now. :yahoo:
