Title: My bouncy
Post by: Freeper on July 11, 2012, 09:58:52 PM
So I have been sick from a respiratory infection and have been home all week with my wife who is sick as well, I had decided to go get a movie to watch, just as I had gotten dressed and made it downstairs there was a knock at the door. There stood this guy who was in his late teens to early 20s, he started off talking about how the evil oil companies are getting $4 Billion in subsidies, now since I don't feel good and didn't want to talk to anyone I just looked at him and told him I was more concerned about the taxpayer money being pissed away by bankrupt solar companies, he said that he could tell I was on the other side of the issue told me to have a nice day and left. I felt kind of bad about being mean, but I'm sure he has heard worse.  :-)

That wasn't mean, it was the truth and you spoke your peace.  Hope you and your wife feel better soon!

OMGosh.  I had a bouncy yesterday too!  Took my daughter to the eye doctor.  The young lady who did the initial exam looked at her for about 3 minutes then turned to a computer and started typing .... and typing .... and typing.

I finally spoke up and said "you gotta love it when the government gets involved in this stuff and makes it 'simpler'."  She laughed and said "I know!  We used to look at the patient, put in some basic information then write in the file.  NOW we have to spend all this time entering stuff into the new electronic data base and we get all kinds of information we don't even need like what kind of medications you've taken."

I told her I was working to get O'bama fired come November and I asked if she voted.  She said she voted for O'bama in the last election and so did her husband and several of her friends but she said she didn't know anyone who was going to be voting for him now.

LOL

That is an honest to God true story.  I was blown away.

I think you both failed. Where were the bushes? The on-the-spot conversions? The crowd of strangers around you applauding? Weak.

Kinda like Carol Beer in the Little Britain TV series, which is a howl. Sorry I can't get to Youtube, otherwise I'd post a classic, but here's the Wiki article on her:

The neighbor's cat who hangs out with us sometimes, ran from the bushes and entered the house, and our cat watched the whole thing. Does that count?  :-)

What? There was nothing about getting the others peoples attention around you, or getting an applause as you left the room. They were still good though.
