Well, we'd save money. Lots of money. But alas, here is Mr. Burch's take on the subject:

A reminder...of OWS disbanded tomorrow, we wouldn't HAVE any Hope for Change at all in this country.

We wouldn't even have much liberalism.
We'd be back where we were in December 2010...with two parties both putting the rich before the people, with no one talking about corporate dominance and how to fight it, with nobody trying to mobilize the dispossessed and the powerless, and with the leaders of "our" party telling everyone to shut up and just take what we're given.
That's what dissing OWS and demanding it's extinction means...it means wanting to go back to the era where there was no resistance to oppression and injustice at all in this country.
The fact is, there was no polite, well-mannered, well-dressed, clean cut alternative to OWS out there that was doing a damn thing. And we all know it. It was all dead.
Why the hell would ANYONE who claims to be progressive want to go back to that?
If you want to RESPECTFULLY critique OWS, fine. If you want to offer helpful and positive suggestions for what they might do better, well and good. But it's right-wing and defeatist to actually look forward to OWS going extinct-because the struggle for justice would be over in the U.S., then, and over for good. Nothing would emerge that would be better.

I'm sorry, but that's just a lie. For the last decade plus, that's a lie. I hear the MSM, and even idiots like Malloy, Rhodes, and Hartmann who ain't so mainstream talk about this utter bovine scatology on a daily basis. Sometimes, and HOURLY basis.
Oh, and who's trying to mobilize the DISopressed, idiot? According to your talking points, shouldn't it be the reich wing trying to mobilize the DISoppressed? You can't even get your opinion straight. How are we to expect you to keep a so called "movement" together. "Solidarity" isn't your strong suite. What you squeeze into a toilet probably isn't solid. Not to mention intelligence being one of the weakest points that makes up "You."
For the record, you want to mobalize the supposed "OPPRESSED," and supposedly "powerless." Though, with groups like OWS, you'll never get it done. Not for long, anyway.
PS: With that very first sentence, are you basically saying your messiah Obama is pretty much worthless?
Sellout.

OWS is still going?

OWS is still going?
Still going to the bathroom in the street.

I thought that was supposed to happen in 2008?

What is this OWS?

If OWS disbanded...
millions of lice would suddenly become homeless.
-
If OWS disbanded...
the crime rate would fall by at least 50% in every city stupid enough to tolerate them.
-
If OWS disbanded....
the greenhouse gas emmissions would be cut by 75%
-
If OWS disbanded,
It would cause a great disturbance in the liberals Force.
-
If OWS disbanded....would anyone notice?
They have been dramatically ineffective thus far. The OP claims they are showing us how to resist corporate oppression. How? By getting maced? By chanting? By blocking a street for a few hours?
OWS has failed its fundamental task. They cannot even define corporate oppression. No one rallied to their cause. Their ranks did not swell with new members. They did not run for office.
OWS claimed we must give into their demands...but made no demands. Reporters had a lot of fun asking occupiers why they were protesting, and no two could give the same answer.
OWS became a joke.

If OWS disbanded ?
This must be an intellectual exercise, such as "If a Spotted Owl farts in a tree, does Al Gore call it global Warming ?", as the impact of an active or disbanded OWS is still moot. Hippies will still be hippies, Junkies will still be junkies, Hobos will still be hobos, etc.

It has four wheels and blue lights on top.

A reminder...if OWS disbanded tomorrow,
...how would we know? The same bums, pseudo-intellectuals, and know-nothings would still be hanging out in our parks.

Sadly, that's hilarious.

"with nobody trying to mobilize the dispossessed and the powerless,"
Wasn't that what the Tea Party movement did, first and in much more effective ways than the Occupy movement has?
The Occupy movement has lost support constantly since the first major dispersal of their NY camp last November. Most of their members and supporters/ backers realized how stupid they were and left, and the remainders were all deranged radicals who helped further cause Occupy to lose support among mainstream Americans.
It hit an even deeper low a couple months ago, starting with the lawlessness, rioting, and attempted terrorist acts committed on Occupiers up to and during May Day, then even more so after Occupy Oakland Patriarchy actually protested AGAINST a conference geared around fighting against child sex trafficking.
They are disbanding due to a combination of embarassment, loss of interest, and plummeting public support due to their lawless and radical actions.
In contrast, the Tea Party Movement rapidly gained support in spite of the efforts by liberal media and activists to ridicule, slander, or silence them, led to a massive grounddwell of conservative political activity, and ultimately led to our victories in 2010, and possibly even to a victory this November.

The Dow is up about 1300 points since they started barking at the moon on 10/17/11.
Boring and ineffectual is no way to go through life, son.
-
If the OWS disbanded rapes, murders, suicides, drug use, police car defecation, riots, vandalism, beatings, window breaking, trashing parks, std's, prostitution, robberies, arson, terrorist plotting, etc, etc, would drop significantly.

Not sure if said crimes would drop significantly--they'd be more dispersed, but they'd still happen.

There wouldn't be any job growth. That's for dang sure.

Good article in Breitbart about the highly promoted "Occupy National Gathering" in Philly over the 4th. Highlights, 500 people showed up, online donations $600 and big names quietly dropped out. This is beyond sad.

Check out this bouncy from the article:
"So anyways, I actually slammed a door and ran off crying because I was so offended that I was being told to be self reliant when I was in such a state of exhaustion and hunger- especially after how much work I have done for this movement and how much I put INTO this march. I go and hide in my tent and BAWL. Next thing I know a few different people are at my tent, bringing me *more* peanut butter and jelly, lemonade and chips. The lemonade and chips were heaven. Another woman brings me a piece of cheese- what I originally asked for. I eat it all and pass out for most of the day. Needless to say I missed the march."
Wow...bawling because someone told you "make your own damn sandwich."
It would be laughable if it wasn't utterly pathetic.
