I just heard on the radio that Obama is going to start a push to extend the Bush tax cuts. I think this is a election ploy (albeit it won't help him). Anyone agree?
Wasn't there something here recently saying that all the dems in both the House ans Senate want to discontinue them?

He only wants to extend the cuts for those making less than $1 million or maybe less than $250 K, not sure which. He is going back to the class warfare meme.

It is always just the ones that make less than $250,000.00 or $1 million. He is so obsessed with that number.

Yep. In answer to the question in the OP, of course it's and election ploy. Everything Comrade Obama has done this year is pretty much an election year ploy, and that's certainly not going to change between now and November.
-
Yes, it's a ploy, but it's only for 1 year.

He's got....
the black vote
the queer vote
the stupid vote
the freeloaders vote
the DUmmie vote
the spiteful vote
the haters vote
the rich DUmb actors vote
the not so sexy womens votes
he's just 5 votes short of winning the election...so he promises, "NO NEW TAXES".

If the GOP knows what's good for them after they take all 3 houses in January they will make the Bush tax cuts permanent, after they repeal 0bamatax of course.

That would be pants if they made the Bush tax cuts permanent.

All it would take is another Congress to undue that "permanent".

True, but at least it would stand for awhile.

That is true, and you beat me to it, Freeper.

Im not sure if it specifically a ploy but I think it does show Obama has given up on talking about the economy and jobs. If his main issue is this class warfare BS hes going to lose worse than Carter.

Obama losing worse than Carter would be best thing since, well, Carter losing.

Carter looks like a good President compared to this current douche bag.

Isn't that the truth.

Still, his basic problem is that these groups are not mutually exclusive by any means, most of his base belonging to at least three of them, and many more for a lot of them. Because of that, he can't be sure what that adds up to in actual votes...especially since there is also the lazy bum vote, and an awful lot of them also belong to that group, which has a notoriously poor turnout on election day.

He's losing the debate on jobs and the economy, so he is left waging the class and race warfare cards.

The parallels between Reagan and Romney, Carter and Obama, and 1980 and 2012 are uncanny. If Romney doesnt win it would be a huge shocker IMO.

O'reilley was talking about the comparison on his show tonight. It is shocking how similar they are.

The big difference , IMO, is interest rates.
