Are we at war with the Republican Party?
Should we stop pretending that we are not?
Are they out to destroy the Democratic Party and to disrupt everything in our lives?
Are we hurting ourselves and the country by saying it is only a political disagreement and it will be settled at the ballot box? Even when voters are being prevented from even going to the ballot box and even when the majority votes on an issue, Republicans do not accept it as legitimate? Even when the Supreme Court rules on the issue, they still do not accept it as legitimate?
How should we fight this battle? Do we need to be more aggressive and if so, how?
Do you believe that everything that we have fought and died for in the last 75 years is under assault? Do yo believe the Republican Party is trying to unravel the fabric of our society? If you believe this to be true, what should be our response?
It must be off their meds day at the DUmp

7. No, that would be like saying you're at war with ...

... an AK47 or a T62 Battle Tank.
No, we're at war with a tiny handful of the world's wealthiest people. The Republican Party is just one of their armaments.
You get the picture what your revolution will look like.

9. No, but they're at war with us
hence the 20 years of mayhem. I keep thinking we'll fight back. We never do (except for meaningless charades like OWS). as for what our response should be, it really seems crystal clear to me. Sadly it cannot be posted
C`mon coward.

10. They have declared ware on us.
You can turn on Fox News for 15 minutes and see it.. You can hear it from the mouth of Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage. You can hear it from Ted Nugent or Sarah Palin.
Our American way of life is under attack from all angles.
Yeah,we have run out of money to support you freeloaders.

15. Personally, I think we need a more populist message at this time...
...because populism can get at the root of the truth better than any other form of political expression, in my opinion.
And it really doesn't matter if it is in a conservative or a liberal district, the truth is the truth. Our timidity is hurting us in so many ways. I know there are many that will disagree with this tactic but this is my opinion.
Look what happened to socialist Steve when he ran from his record...start the call for Communism now!

35. They're absolutely at war with us, and we need to wage war back.
If we lose this war, we lose America. We have to fight. We have no choice but to fight. We have to win this country and win our liberty back by any means necessary.
DAMMIT I WANT MY FREE STUFF!!!!!

I don't see why you should fight this battle any different than the other battles that you've fought.
Let's see...there was the pictures of your hands. I think there was the banging of pots and pans. There was the not one damn dime day thing. There was the "I'll be there in spirit" or "I'm sending white light" thing. I'm sure there have been other methods that I've forgotten.
All of the methods must have been successful for you guys because back in 2001 you were all bitching and complaining on DU and now...well...it still probably wouldn't hurt to try those methods again.

I think there are more rich democrats than rich republicans. ...and the republicans riches didn't come as easily as rich democrats money....plus the gave more than $300 a year to charity too.

I tire of the posturing, bring it and see how it works out. For me, "I'm betting on America!"

it took him this long to figure it out? What a dumbass. then again just like Tavernturd, he isn't going to do anything and sit and wait for others to fight his cause for him.

That is most definately my favorite response.
For the past 50 years the Dems have been delivering the populist message, the kooks pull the lever and vote for them, and then they spend the rest of the electees term complaining about how they got screwed. And then the next election comes along, the candidate spews the populist message, they vote for them again, and spend the rest of their term complaining about how they got screwed.
Everyone's seeing a pattern here except the kooks.

Hey Kentuck, your preezy wants to fundamentally change our country. How is it that we are the anti Americans when we are fighting to protect what this country was founded on? No matter how hard you try to convince us, this country was NOT founded on freebies for you and high taxes for the wealthy. In fact our country was founded on a government that leaves us the hell alone and allows each person to pursue happiness in the way that we choose, and if we fail in that pursuit then we pick ourselves up dust ourselves off and try again, we don't sit in front a computer demanding that money be taken from others and given to us. I'm so sick of the whiny crybabies on the left who want the government to make everything fair for them so they don't have to struggle to get anything.
