Just finished watching "The Patriot".
Tomorrow or Friday I will take my son and his girlfriend on a history tour of our area. It will be some of the battle fields within a few miles of home. The first will be "Hanging Rock", then on to "The battle of Camden", back around by the monument and grave site at the site of "Buford's Massacre" (site of Tarleton's Quarter), across the river to "The Battle of Fishing Creek", a look at the remains of Fort Dearborn on Dearborn island where lead, powder and cannon was stored (No stored rifles for militia, DUmmies), then North to the Waxhaws where Andrew Jackson was born and the Presbyterian church and graveyard of his ancestors....and then finally, to the graveyard where some of our family ancestors that fought in "The Revolutionary War" are buried.
ETA: Might just take a hike in the woods to small family graveyard where some Civil War dead are buried. No matter what other people think, it's all part of the family history.

The Patriot is a great movie. I am watching that today also. That is a good idea to go to a couple of historical sites. There are a couple around my area also. I'd like to take my daughter down to Gettysburg this year. It has been years since I been there.

They are all upset about slavery...still.
-All the former slaves and slave owners are dead. Slavery is no longer practiced in the United States. I suspect nobody alive today has met a former American slave.
The sooner this "Us vs Them' mentality ends, the sooner the country can pull together-- But Libs don't want that, do they ? Victim mentality translates into votes for Democrats.

He has pissed me off for almost a year now. My daughter wants to see Madagascar 3, but I just can't stomach sitting in the movie theater listening to his voice. He is funny. I just wish he would stop being so vocal about his politics and against America. Maybe more people will enjoy his comedy again.

Sadly several of the "black" actors have gone off the deep end lately, and it is a shame I can't bring myself to enjoy their movies any more. It's sickening that they have been railroaded by this clown and his followers.

I would add that a fair number of honkies were abolitionists and civil rights activists including those in the congress, presidency and Supreme Court that ended slavery and passed various amendments and laws.
Yet, for all that people prefer to cling to the hatred rather than rally around the virtue.

Sally Hemmings was proably only one quarter black, was probably the half sister of his wife, and was reputed to have been quite beautiful. She also chose to return from France with hime when she didn't have to under French law. He promised his wife that he wouldn't remarry, which is probably the main reason he didn't marry Sally Hemmings.

This is an actual tool used to teach history to inner city youth. The founding fathers are ripped to shreds - for example - the song compares Andrew Jackson to Hitler. BTW, O.D.W.M is short for Old Dead White Men.
