France Gives "Fairness Doctrine" Details; Will Tax Millionaires At 75%
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/france-gives-fairness-doctrine-details-will-tax-millionaires-75

With the Great June Socialist Revolution spilling over into July, here are some details as they become available from France:

FRANCE TO HAVE NEW TAX RATE OF 45% FOR WEALTHY
FRANCE TO TAX INCOME OF MORE THAN EU1 MLN AT 75%, AYRAULT SAYS
FRANCE TO TAX CAPITAL INCOME AT SAME LEVEL AS WAGES
FRANCE TO RAISE TAXES FOR LARGE COMPANIES, BANKS, OIL FIRMS

But... FRANCE TO ANNUL PLANNED VAT INCREASE PLANNED BY SARKOZY

After all, it's only fair. In other news, we are rotating our secular long thesis away from Belgian caterers and into tax offshoring advisors, now that nobody in the 1% will pay any taxes ever again.

The good news is that with the entire world set to adopt 100%+ taxes on "wealthy" individuals as defined arbitrarily by Ph.Ds, there will be no place to hide. Which incidentally is just the first step toward what we warned back in September 2011 will happen: a 30% tax on all financial assets. Everywhere.

French immigration policy.

No, seriously.

Which is interesting considering A) France is drowning in Muslim who bathe less than Frenchmen and B) libs accept in France what they call inhumane in the US.

Maybe they can go into the country illegally? Wait, if they do that, they will know what really happens to people who do that and won't like it.

What does France have besides the Eiffel Tower? I mean the whole country is full of nothing but wimp ass pansies whose military couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag. Now their socialism is going to make more of a bunch of Pansies.

For God sakes, Mexico celebrates Cinco De Maya, which a a victory over France. NAME A COUNTRY THAT DON'T HAVE A VICTORY OVER FRANCE? Sheesh ...

I don't think they are.  They're one of the groups that debunked Obama's claims that his "stimulus" would save or create any jobs at all.

You might recognize their graphs... they're pretty distinctive.

ZERO-HEDGE is a great site with good insight. I also like Mish's site too: http://globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com/

Both those place are realists about public debt. Both say that the euro is over in the year. Their predictions come true 90% of the time but always much later than they predict. My guess is that euro is dead in a year with Germany leaving with the other North European nations. France will stay  in the south europe and reign supreme over a third world coalition of failing states but the french will be in charge.

France slaps 7 billion euros in taxes on rich, big firms

By Daniel Flynn
PARIS | Wed Jul 4, 2012 10:55am EDT

(Reuters) - France's new Socialist government announced tax rises worth 7.2 billions euros on Wednesday, including heavy one-off levies on wealthy households and big corporations, to plug a revenue shortfall this year caused by feeble economic growth.

In its first major raft of economic measures since Francois Hollande was elected president in May promising to avoid the painful austerity seen elsewhere in Europe, the government targeted companies and the rich with tax hikes.

An extraordinary levy of 2.3 billion euros ($2.90 billion) on wealthy households and 1.1 billion euros in one-off taxes on large banks and energy firms were central parts of an amended 2012 budget presented to parliament.

-snip-

Hollande says the rich must pay their share as France battles to cut its public deficit from 5.2 percent of GDP last year to an EU limit of 3 percent in 2013 despite a stagnant economy and rising debt.
