Some girl on Facebook just asked me why I was so concerned about the health care tax if I have insurance...
That was her reply to me after I pointed out that Obama just gave us the biggest tax increase in the history of the world. I guess I'm not allowed to care about the penalty/tax/mandate/whatever you want to call it if I currently have insurance. :thatsright:
You can't fix stupid...

I remember when this was being debated a couple of young girls, immigrants to this Country, they said to me and a friend "Why should I care, rich people will pay for it not me" we tried to explain but it was a waste of time.

I hope you reminded her to vote on Nov 7.

Seriously, this right here is why we are doomed as a country. There are enough idiots like that elected the tyrant in chief to office. I'm sure our founding fathers weep at what passes for citizenry in this country. :thatsright:

You won't have insurance when your employer dumps you for a cheaper tax.

I eat meat, but I would oppose a law saying we have to eat meat. Just because I wouldn't lose any freedom by being told to eat meat, doesn't mean I want vegetarians to be denied their freedom.

"I exist therefore I am.... entitled to government freebies", The DUmmie Mantra.

We were discussing that last night. I am on my husband's health care through his employer. His employer has about 200 employees nationwide. So I see our family being left to the government... :(

I care because actions have consequences and I have no idea at this point how my employer is going to react, how insurance companies will have to respond and how my retirement savings will be affected.
The only "good" that will come out of this is for a few who were just above the free ride level now will be included.
The rest of us will be beaten down closer to that level which was probably the intent from the start.

I had heard that if you have health insurance it is no longer tax exempt. Dunno if that is true or not... but let's just say it is. Boy is that gonna piss off a lot of people!!!!

I think that's just for the "Cadillac" plans, at this point. I don't know how they define "Cadillac, and of course, that definition can always be changed...

That sucks ass.
I think our insurance is a "Cadillac" plan... only from definitions that I've read.

If it is from a union, you're OK for at least a year. If not, bend over.

Neither one of us is unionized. My husband is management and I work for an "evil bank"
