He hasn't been online for a few days and it's unlike him to be gone during something like today's happenings.

I think that he said something about being away for a while--maybe with the business partner.

Yep.  I believe he's got some other fish to fry, for some time into the indefinite future.  Nothing bad going on, though, so no need to worry.
